03.29.2003 :: the art of getting high
Not much knitting last night. The excedrin socks are turning into the tranquilizer sock. blech. And not much to say today. Heading to my Mom's again, and I have a stiff neck. What could be better than that? Do you think that stiff necks are a symptom of one's week? I do.
So, I give you this. Fig getting high on catnip. Yes, he indulges in the weed from time to time.
This photo shoot shows Fig getting high, being spacey and sleeping it off. I did not show him getting the munchies after the cat nap. And, you'll be glad to know.....since we have gotten rid of the snow piles in the yard, his new pasttime is rolling in the dirt. Yup, he comes inside looking quite sad with ground up leaves, sticks and dirt clinging to his previously nice, soft, shiny fur. Scheez. It's like having a three year old all over again. Oh, except for the getting high part. We did not encourage that in our kids.:)

You know, I've been comparing having a young golden retriver in the house to haveing two toddlers. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who makes that sort of analogy.
I don't envy you going to your moms to work on things on the weekends. My folks are pretty well self sufficient, but my MIL is expecting my spouse to do several projects for her when we visit her state for a week in May. Now we are going to see her, and my folks, and as many friends as we can fit in. So while she's first on the list, she is not the whole list. But she doesn't see it that way somehow.
Why don't you take a day off from the excedrin sock and work on something you enjoy more. I always have a better time working on PITA projects if I take time off from them for a bit.

you are so funny! and fig too! i always say that my cats are like having a teenager and a three year old! they fight with each other like my brother and i used to! of course...i also refer to them as the jungle cat and the dog...heeheecheryl [cherylthepearl@yahoo.com]
