03.22.2003 :: I've got the fever.....

Felting fever, that is...... I finished the funky fuzzy feet. They came out great! They felted MUCH quicker than the kureyon yarn did. Here's a look.

The above pictures are before and after felting. They really look great! The Ranier heather (the purple color) is everything and more that people have been raving about! And here's a close up of the colors! I think the pink and the dark blue really pull colors out of the felted yarn! My observations....these slippers are narrower than the kureyon ones. http://sandysknitting.blog-city.com/files/2797/p/t/DSC01069.JPG The cascade 220 yarn is not as heavy as the kureyon. So, that makes sense. Next pair, I would make the ankle higher. And the toe is a little pointy. I wonder what I could do about that? I am in awe at the color change that occurs in the felting process! Such fun! These are a gift, by the way for my friends' daughter Megan. She is the same age as my son, 16 and a budding knitter. She will love these! I am planning to give them to her as an early birthday gift so she can bring them on the band trip to Maryland, where she will spend time with her friends knitting on the bus.

Thank goodness it's Friday!

Love your fuzzy feet! You are the felting master now! Thanks for the reply and now I have another question in regard to your reply: Which book did you use that taught you sock knitting.
The birthday party looks like fun :) Tiffany [Iamabloodyprincessdamnit@yahoo.ca]
