11.01.2003 :: Every Spring needs some bumblebees
As I have said before, I saw the opal bumblebee socks on other people's blogs and they did not thrill me. But everyone raved so much about them, I decided to give them a try. And because I needed mindless knitting last night, here they are so far...
It's okay if it doesn't thrill you either, because the picture just does not do it justice. The shades of yellow are really great. A fun spring sock to be working on.....and if you think you need to prove the bumblebee to yourself, I happen to know a store (online) that is still carrying it. (while it lasts). Let me know if you want to know where! I'll share!
Isn't it a miracle that Ellizabeth Smart was found alive? Wow! I couldn't believe it when I heard it. I imagine this gives hope to all the other parents suffering out there not knowing....I think she'll need years of therapy to ever even approach being "normal" (whatever that is...) again.
We seem to have a revolution on the blogs of exposing your 80's self. It seems that people were really kinda outrageous during that time. Well, people, I was boring. I was still the jeans and turtleneck kinda girl I am today. Only thinner. Oh, much thinner! And much less wiser! No pictures for now. You'll just have to keep imagining what a beauty I am (cough, cough..) Okay, maybe beauty on the inside.
Oh goodie, it's supposed to snow today.(please read with much, much sarcasm) All I have to say is....."Go bumblebee!"

I love those socks. I looked for some of that brand of yarn yesterday, but my yarn shop doesn't carry it. I got some other sock yarn to knit up the tie featured in Knitty...mattie [mrm@friend.ly.net]

It took me many, many tries to get your blog to let me leave a comment. It just kept showing me a wide screen, with no changes. I changed the security settings on my computer and now it seems to be behaving. Too bad I'm not sure what I did. Maybe it will continue to work.
I really like your bee socks. I love yellows, and those ones you're working on look better than the gold / black stripe ones I've seen. Would you tell me where to look for the yarn, please?Stonering [stonering@knowledge1.com]
