05.24.2003 :: some kind of freaky schtuff

Well, here it is. Freaky Friday. It has been somewhat of a Freaky week, so let's give it the send off it deserves, shall we? Lots to talk about today, so let's get into it.

First, a wonderful package came in the mail yesterday. Wanna see? What do you think was inside? yarn? well, take a look...

No, better than yarn. Or at least equal to yarn, CHOCOLATE! That's right, the final phase of the Great International Candy Exchange! Kathy was kind enough to send along the funnest chocolate there is! The box was barely opened when Bethany opened one up and ate it. Here's her toy inside!

How cool is that??? It wasn't long before another got sampled. They won't last long, they are yummy and fun! Thank you Kathy! It was great fun!

Teenagers are a funny lot, aren't they? Here's a precious shot of Derek.

Handsome? Did you know that Suki can be used as a cap? Yup. Kind of reminds me of Cat in the Hat.

Okay, if all that wasn't freaky enough for you, here is your assignment. Go to http://asksnoop.com/. Yes, that's right, it's about time we got some coolness into the blogging world. You are reading right....ask snoop. Dogg that is. This will bring you to his "Tha Schizzolator" page. If we want teens to get into knitting, maybe we should talk with more schizzle. Put the address of your blog into here and it will translate it into the schizzle talk. FUNNY! Oh, don't do it if the word shit bothers you. Please. I am laughing hysterically at my site using the teen slang.

Wit dat, gotta go...dude

these are some of my favorite chocolates! it's really a shame that we can't get them here in the States -- though I have a friend in Warrenton that stocks her "English Pantry" with these and Smarties too! Ordered straight from Yorkshire. genia [knitgenia@aol.com]

Warning ~ that shizzolator shit (or whatever the heck it's called) shows up on your site. Or it does on mine anyway. Buyer beware.

Sending hugs your way, Sandy. Trying to drop you a line, haven't had the dime. ;)Kerstin

'Sup, Dog? Derek is a hoot in Suki. Kids crack me up. I knitted a hat for Joey once that turned out WAY too big. He wore it anyway, gathering some of it up in a rubber band. It wound up looking like a do-rag (dew-rag?)--you know, those hankerchief thingies that bikers wear. Geez, where's the coffee? I'm obviously not awake yet.

LOVE the Kinder Surprises! Cool! Hopefully you'll get that (honkin') book soon. Sheeeeeeeesh, I could've driven it out there faster!

Have a great day, Auntie Sunshine!Kim [gibknits@earthlink.net]

Yo, Sandy, thanks for the best laugh of the day ('n shit). Here's what the shizzolator did to the quote on my home page:

"Time sneaks up on yo' ass like a windshield on a bug, know what I'm sayin'? "

Hey Schnizzles!
Yes, Chris, that's teenager talk. Just watch MTV for a while and you will be properly horrified. Although I can say that my kids do not talk like that as a rule (there are no do-rags in my house.....yet) they have a tendancy to lapse into the "Izzo" talk especially after being with friends. For my kids in this sleepy community, it's just a way to bore their parents. But I think inner ciy teens really communicate like that. "n shit.
Hey Kerstin, what did the shit leave behind? I can't see it! What is that Snoop up to?sandy [ashurley@attbi.com]

Hey S to the izzo, A to the izzay, N to the izzo, D to the izzay, Y to the izzo. Hehehe...n'shit. Daphne [rhapsody@madflower.com]

Too funny! And i understood not a bit of it. Pioneer Woman is Pioneer Brizzle on my links!! so what does it all mean??? Do people really talk like that? You can tell I am too old with children much younger than teenage years!

just to keep you posted on the scarf situation. i have, as we speak, wrapped up in a big coat, a snorkel, thermal socks, an umbrolly, galoshes, a wind-breaker and a plastic sheet draped across me, as i prepare to face british summer time. yes, i am venturing out with only one thing in mind - knitting.
it's been a while since i attempted a scarf and fear i have forgotten how to cast off. i'll probably be back for advice!! how exciting though! woo hoo! so with that, i leave you so i can brave the elements that, in a couple of years (if my scarf is a success) i will be protected from!Visit me @ http://ducks-echo.blog-city.com

Oh that shit was fun! The best was when I put Kerstin's ass URL 'n stuff in. Too funny 'n shit. It's really funny to put in quote pages -- it transforms shakespeare into drek.

Kerstin -- what did it do to your site?Pioneer Melissa
