05.02.2003 :: Suki knit along anybody?

Spring has finally sprung around here! Here's the proof.

Hyacinth and Fosythia in bloom in my yard. The world is coming alive. The colors are very inspiring!

I did some knitting on the cool ocean socks. Then I did some Un-knitting on them. Something went horribly wrong and I had to take out about 5 rows. Then I knit them back. Right this time. The second sock is nearing completion.

Working on a start date for the Suki knit along. June 1st has been suggested. Is that good for you? Anybody else care to join? What better to keep your knitting in than a knitted bag?

Isn't Spring grand? All those vibrant colors waking us from our winter doldrums.

I'm up for gettin down with the Suki thing, Sandy--count me in!

Yes, my 2 younger boys (ages 9 & 13) live with me one week, and their dad one week, a schedule we keep religiously so they have some stability as to where they are going & when. My oldest (age 16) lives with his dad full-time, but he's beginning to come around to my house more & more often. :)

Have fun working on the cool ocean sock today! Don't stress out your hands, okay? Remember Pioneer Gal & her spy cam! (how is it a Pioneer woman has a spy cam? Hmmmm.....)Kim [gibknits@earthlink.net]

My approach to exchanges is based on trustIt's a fun thing.

Man oh man, your blossoms are way ahead of ours. The magnolias should explode in the next week or so -- my favourite. The forsythias will come in 2 weeks.
I'm thinking of making a really big Suki. Big enough to put Gibsy in it. Better have a zip top or better still a lock. It will be like a rubber room for knitters.
Did I miss the meeting where we decided it was ok for you to be knitting again? Hmmm?Pioneer Melissa [pioneermelissa@sympatico.ca]

I guess if you were knitting and tinking (unknitting) last night then your hand must be feeling better.

I don't know about the suki knit along. I am really bad about putting off starting projects. I don't think I could gear myself up and then wait for an entire month before I could start. Maybe, I could. I would be an exercise in patience, which I truly need.Marney [marnita@att.net]
