07.22.2003 :: here's a song to stick in your brain..
Monday, Monday...so good to me
Monday morning, it was all I hope it would be...
Where did the weekend go to? Did I have a weekend? Oh, I must have because I have this to prove it...
Yes, that's right. The beginning of the lazy falaise-y sweater. Tres orange, no? I told you that I had it bad. I just HAD to start this. It's a sickness. It's looking a tad curly right now. I'm hoping it's the needle, not the knitting. I am using a circular inox. Pardon me if these are your personal favorite, but I dislike it very much.
So, there you have it. knitting and a song stuck in your brain. What more could a person ask for??

What curl? I thought all sweaters did that on the edges until they were blocked...? I'm not sure what INOX needles are. I'm using Boye aluminum circulars and my shapely tank is curling up a storm. Now I'm concerned.Kim [gibknits@earthlink.net]

Sandy. Ditch those INOX needles right now. Right now, do you hear me? They suck and you will hate this project because of them. Get Addi Turbos to replace them. There is always an issue switching needles during a project, but going from INOX to Addi should be pretty safe.claudia [claudialb@aol.com]

Inox joins are bad. Very bad. Addis all the waaaaaaayyyyyyy, baby. I just peered into my crystal ball and I see "Falaise Malaise" in your future. Just a personal prediction. :)Kerstin

No wonder my Inox needles are always in stock when I need one - apparently everyone else hates them! Well, I love 'em. If anyone wants to get rid of theirs, I'd be more than happy to give them a loving home where they will be appreciated. ;)
Seriously, if the needles are making you crazy you should change them NOW, before they ruin your enjoyment of the project. But are you sure it's the needles and not that kooky yarn?!alison [tankgirl@hansels.net]

yes, now that Claudia mentions it, INOX have a crappy join--use the addis (that's what I'm using afterall) Can't believe I mixed them up!
A low iron will take out that curl. I had a little on the tunic and it went away like magic. Just be careful, use a presscloth...Leigh [leigh@prettyposies.com]

thanks for owning up to and explaining your reasons for the ransacking of the duck. only a good girl would do that, i'm proud of you. pioneer melissa handed back a few of the items and there are now just one or two things outstanding:
1) my hair straighteners. I've seen the pic underneath PM's entry and there's no way on this earth that she has them!
2) my supply of chocolate eclairs. can't find them anyway. did you take them?? did you??
oh and also my kettle blew up this morning. are you able to explain this too?
it is so lovely to back. i've missed you, you crazy kid. now hand back the cow
xxxxLeah
