07.20.2004 :: Floozy finger, be gone!
I have decided to take out the ring finger of the cashmere gloves! I don't like the way the hole is gaping. This is easier said than done. I get a little, um...enthusiastic about weaving in my ends and it will be challenging to say the least to find where to start the tugging!
The pattern calls to take 9 stitches from the front holder and 9 from the back holder to knit each finger. However, in between each finger, it has me M2. This just doesn't cut the mustard. This lets the finger just kinda float there, unattatched to the rest. I need fingers that are ready to settle down. Mature enough to have an attatchment that will last, not run after every floozy finger that comes along! :)
So, I will rip. And instead of M2, I will pick up 2. Or maybe even 3. I'll just willy nilly pick up stitches as I see fit. As usual!
Get yourself a Sock Made especially for you!
Justin has generously offered to make a lovely pair of socks especially for you. A donation to Jesse's family is all that's in order. Remember Jesse? See my July 9th entry for refresher. Go check it out here. You will help a family in crisis and will end up with a special made, hand knit pair of socks. They will keep more than your feet warm. They will warm your heart as well.

No naked post here. I delve into the photo files of my camera.

But wait a minute -- a four-digited glove will not DO. Or am I misreading you again?

Do you think the designer of the pattern thinks that M2 means to pick up stitches...it's just such an odd idea. Anyway....you're the boss and sounds like you are doing the right thing! Love the rhoddy!

Ooh...pretty flowers! (and that's the embellished version)
And I love the way your gloves are coming out, holes or no holes. Those stitch markers are really cool, too.
