07.23.2004 :: The power of glove

One glorious glove is finished
DSC03309.JPG
Can I get an A-men!
Although the pinky side looks a bit wonky in this photo, the glove came out great! I am so happy with it! I cannot wait for a cool, fall day! One hand will be warm and content!
I cannot believe that I am knitting gloves all by myself! No one else? No one? One? So lonely. One is a lonely number!
My mind cannot stop thinking of the possiblities of the glove puns. It's a curse!
Mailcall!

The wonderful, Ingrid, who has moved away(boohoo) sent me this in trade!
Classic Elite Flash in the colorway crocus. Crappy color on this photo as it's impossible to get a good picture when it's overcast and icky humid. Okay, the icky humid has nothing to do with picture quality. And our humid will only last one day since we escaped the rest of the days with our seabreeze. But even the best, most wanted seabreeze will veer off.
You can see the yarn here also, maybe the color is better!
I plan to make this sweater from Knitty, called Flashy Lace. Ingrid made this sweater and I fell in love with it. (Not glove this time, love)
Starting at noon today, I will be on vacation from work for 2 weeks! No plans yet, but plenty of this....

Yahoo for the glove!! It's lovely. Make it multiply!

When you said, "One glorious glove" I thought of "Food, Glorious Food!" from Oliver. (I'm in the musical right now, you'll have to forgive me.)

And as for "one is such a lonely number"...I thought "one is the lonliest number that you'll ever do/two is just as bad as one/it's the lonliest number since the number one/ah..."

I'm so weird!

The glove looks great, by the way!

Sannnnndddddyyyyyy! Let's do something together on your vacation! You're always welcome here OR we could take a road trip. I have a sitter on Thursday. Unless she decides she needs the day to do last minute planning for her wedding on the 31st. (The nerve of Johanna the bride! teehee) If I don't have a sitter, still come down and I'll teach you how to spin on a WHEEL. It'll make your vacation complete. Promise. ;)

I love FLASH. I made a top in the color Chinese Red. Ok if that's not the name - it's one I made up because it looked like Chinese red.

Your glove looks superb. Can't say I will ever knit one. Not much use in Houston for gloves. Although I wear them most people here don't. They look at me like I'm from the moon.

Glove-rific! I have to look back on your posts and see what size needles you used--they are glove-fab..now where's the other one? Can leave me hanging w/just one..

Fabulous, fabulous glove. I'm right behind you, as I'm itching to make another pair. For more glove puns than you can possibly bear (and feel free to boost any of them), search my blog for glove entries....forewarned is foregloved!

I am sure I will be making gloves sometime soon : )
The sweater you picked from Knitty is very nice and you will look lovely in it! Going anywhere on VAC?

Sandy - it's glove-ly. Is it hard to cast on for the second (like socks)? I love the sweater - perfect for fall. Is that you in the beach chair? You look like you need some sunscreen.
