07.30.2004 :: Do I dare ask for another happy dance?

The knitting on Charlotte is done! I cast off last night, then immediately gathered the materials for a block party. Towel, check. Charlotte, check. Pins, Pins..Pins?? Dang it! Where did I put that pincushion?!!
Missing!

Have you seen me?
Tomato red, with small strawberry hanging off top
Many, various style pins sticking into it
If found, please return.

So, Charlotte sits in a heap, waiting for me to visit AC Moore today to stock up on pins. And then you know what's going to happen, don't you? That's right! I'll find the pincushion upon arriving home. Probably right there in plain sight. Someone's playing tricks. I hope they are having fun!

Trick or treat? Christmas has come and gone, and it's Halloween already???

I just love those little strawberry pincushions. So much so that I swiped yours--I'm sorry, but I couldn't help myself! I knew you wouldn't mind. xxoo

At my house, I find the pins in the carpet. The pincushion is just there to trick everyone else. Then, funnily enough, everyone finds pins all the time! ;)
Except me!!

Finished Charlotte? I'm almost jealous. As soon as I pick mine up again, I'm going to break row 100. I was concerned about how my 3rd and 4th colors were going to meld together (a red and a green...hmm) but they have enough accents in common so they look really nice together. I can't wait to see yours!

Maybe you used it to pin corsages at prom time? I think I last saw it at the supermarket . . . in the produce section. Trick or Treat! ;)

There was one at my house, but Katy chewed it to bits while it still had sewing needles in it. It's amazing that she's still alive!

It's here! At my house! Get lots and lots of pins for Charlotte. Can't wait to see it. Li - great job! Are you having fun yet? I have only been queasy three times in my life. And you know what that meant....

"in" retrospect, even......

I swear to the gods! You are I were separated at birth. I went to sew up Abigail's little purse last night and could not find my sewing needles ANYWHERE. Plus, I found my little strawberry pincushion but it had NO PINS in it. What?! So I went out to JoAnn's and bought a cool little magnetic one that, on retrospect, is sure to lose all the pins in the bottom of my basket --but it seemed like a good idea at the time -- plus I loved the purple color, heeheeheehee!

I think I saw that pincushion. Didn't it eat New York? Well, maybe not. Just don't get any tomato sauce on your Charlotte while pinning.

My mom still has the tomato pincushion that she used when I was a little kid (and that she probably used when my older sister was young). Don't know why, but that pincushion is a huge remembrence of my childhood. :-)
