08.25.2004 :: new project time
I present to you, the meagher beginnings of Inishmore, from Alice Starmore's Fisherman sweaters
Doesn't look purple to me!
Trust me, it is. Not just any purple. This is the ever lovely Ranier Heather, Cascade 220.
I picture this as the sister sweater to the Inishmaan that resides in my gallery!
Annual Pilgrimage
Tonight will be dinner at Woodman's. It is my annual tradition. I read in the paper that there is currently a clam shortage in this area. They had better have one plate of yummy fried clams waiting for me. Or I'll......I'll......have a tantrum? Perhaps! More than likely, I'll order scallops. But I won't like them!
A big thank you for indulging my sappy side yesterday. Some days it just has to be freed! All of your comments were wonderful to read, and I thank you for them!
Please, for all that is good in the world, send some wishes that I can get my fried clam dinner tonight! :)

Oh, now you've got me thinking about nothing but fried clams.... That looks like a great place, yum, and I hope you get 'em.

Happy 29th Birthday!
Um, about the clams. Last week we rode the tandem bike from Woburn to Ipswich for lunch at the Clam Box (it was our anniversary) only to find NO NATIVE CLAMS. Clam strips, but nothing else.
I hope you have better luck at Woodman's.

PS. Inishmore is beautiful of course, don't you love how the Cascade 220 makes the cables pop!

Happy Birthday Sandy! I think that along with your fried clams (which of course they will have) you deserve a nice tropical, the summer is coming to an end and your oldest is going away to college, drink!
I also think that you deserve to go to Knitsmiths in honor of your birthday! We miss you!

Happy Birthday! I was just reading the past couple of entries and had a few questions about your feather and fan scarf...How much of the Koigu Kersti did you use and what were the measurements of the scarf following blocking? Thanks so much!

Happy Birthday! Do I get to ask how old you are, or is that terribly gauche? (I always wanted to use that word!) Maybe I should just assume you're older than dirt :)
Anyway, have a great day!

Happy Birthday, Sandy! As the birthday girl, you should get priority at Woodman's if the clams are in short supply.
I love the color of the yarn. I was thinking of making the same sweater, but I'm going to try to clear out some of my stash before I go there -- it's a gorgeous sweater, so maybe that will be an incentive!
Enjoy the day - you deserve it!
