10.28.2004 :: Once in a blue moon
A red moon complete with Eclipse? What could it mean? It's all clear to me now. It was time for the Red Sox. I have in my presence one extremely happy hubby.
I see a bad moon arising!
And the handspun? I can't tell you what it's being made into. But it starts with an M and rhymes with ITTEN. I'm so predictable.
I cast on too many stitches, though, so it will be reworked. Perhaps when I have more spun to add to the fray.
I planned a picture show of my various knits du jour, but the camera is set to some kind of funky settings for the eclipse watching. I am a digital dunce. I like to push the button and have a fantastic picture result.
Tomorrow, then. It's only a day away.

Goodness! Those colors for the mitten are gorgy! :D

the mittens are beautiful! The colors will be nice and cheery on a dreary Winter's day. I think you have passed the mitten bug along to me. I fear it will be my next obsession.

Love your pic of the moon...lucky you...cloudy in my neck of the woods. I also love the color of your yarn...can't wait to see the finished product :)

We didn't have a moon...it rained all night and we might have snow today! I need to make some mittens! Yours are so happy and colorful like Mary Beth's. That gets me thinking....

My moon was white last night. Having your way with Photoshop again, I see? Can't pull the handspun over MY eyes. :)
Damn, girlfriend. Why does your spin job look better than mine? Was this a spindle job? Pretty colors. Where, pray tell, did you purchase the roving? Or was this a shoplift job . . . ;)

Oooh, beautiful mittens! I'm so impressed by your spinning. And, thanks for the eclipse photo. Our moon (and sun) has been hidden by clouds and fog for over two weeks now.

Ditto what Mary Beth said. And I have to say, I was on the computer at the time, but when I heard my husband whooping it up, I knew what had happened. He made more noise about the Sox than when we ....well, never mind. This is a family channel. But, oh, dearest, those MITTENS. I am in love. Did you spin it on a spindle, or do you have a wheel? (Remind me, I'm whacked.) In the afterglow of the Red Sox win, in a weak moment, my hubby has offered to buy me a WHEEL!!!!

What a great eclipse photo! That's exactly what the moon looked like when I remembered to go outside and look. I took photos, too, but I didn't set my camera correctly and ended up with photos of just blackness.

Those colors are beautiful! It must be fun to knit with something you have spun yourself.

Congrats to your happy hubby. Mine's happy too! So is my son. I'm just happy they're all happy! I'm so impressed with your spinning and then knitting. I'm thinking maybe I should try, but then I told Kim that I need to stay focused on the fact that I have enought yarn to knit til the next millenium...
