11.26.2004 :: woe is me

MY COMPUTER!
May it rest in pieces.
It expired Thanksgiving morning. More to give thanks for? I think not! Since then I have been twitching and generally miserable, pie does not even cheer me up.
Derek took pity on me and took a late night drive to college and picked up his computer to be our substitute for the weekend. Ours hit the repair shop this morning, only to be informed that they could not look at it until Monday or Tuesday. Tis the season, I guess.
So, forgive me for being out of touch.
Now, pass the pumpkin pie.
Can't hurt!

Actually, I have a love/hate relationship with computers. As in, I love to hate them! Grrr! My husband's hard drive just bit the dust, too. Hope yours is fixable!

Not even pecan pie?? Ack! Thank goodness Derek took mercy on you--he's a good kid. :)

Oh no, first Michelle's (another knitting blog) tv and now your computer! I'd better keep a close eye on my TiVo until this holiday weekend is over. ;0)

Best of luck getting it repaired. Hope we won't have to miss our daily dose of Sandy!

Oh no! What are you going to do when he goes back? I hope you don't have to go to the LIBRARY again!!

Now that is a good son. Although, you must have looked pretty desperate to cause him to think of that...

;-)

Good luck to the patient.

Ouch!! You have my sympathy! My obsession with knitting is equal parts actual knitting, and reading about knitting related stuff on the computer, so, I hear ya!! Some days I do more looking than knitting, haha!

Even PIE doesn't cheer you up? It must be dreadful. Just dreadful. I can relate, as you know. Damn computers.
