Summers are known for slowing down and taking it easy. Savoring the small moments and contemplating life by watching clouds drift by.
I am convinced that this is the reason for my thoughts being random. A little scattered. It's all mother nature's plan.
So, instead of apologizing for our slumps let's embrace them. Enjoy them for what they are, a chance to savor the little things.
And perhaps even a chance to loathe things. Say...like humidity.
So, random thoughts. In random order.
~I joined netflix and I just love love it. I try to rent movies every weekend. Perhaps about half of those weekends turn busy and the movies sit unwatched or I feel pressure to watch and return. I can't tell you how much money I've wasted on late fees. Which I think you will agree is a stupid way to spend money. Netflix solves all of this for me. I got the first 2 movies last Friday and as luck would have it a busy weekend ensued. No movie watching time. That's okay. They wait until this weekend. No prob bob.

~Yes, I am now reading the new Harry Potter. I don't have to link to it, do I? Is there any of you who have NOT heard of Harry? I wonder..
Anyhoo. Bethany went to the midnight store party and got it right away. She finished it by Monday night and it was mine all mine. My eyes don't like to read too much at a whack though so I get to savor it. See? It's all attitude. I could admit to being in denial about reading glasses. But I'd rather say that I am savoring.
Yes. Savoring.
~I love pins. Brooch pins. I do not often wear them, but I love them. I love how they can dress up a coat or a blouse or a purse for that matter.

How cute is this? Okay, well maybe not CUTE. But you have to remember that I am currently working on the creatures of the reef shawl. And is a lobster not a creature of the reef? I imagine myself wearing the shawl with the lobster pin clasp.
While I'm at it, I may as well imagine that self standing at the beach with the shawl and long blond hair blowing in the breeze. While standing on the rocks. With a gentle mist coming in off the water. Dolphins jumping to meet me. The lighthouse beaconing my arrival to the sea.
Or something. HEY! It's random, remember? Yes, yes. I do not technically have long blond hair. But I could with a little grey cover up and about a year or two to grow it.
~Where was I?
~My printer is out of color ink. Again I got a new cartridge about 2 weeks ago and I do not remember printing a bunch of color things. What a pisser.
~Today and tomorrow I work. Then starts a wonderful time I like to call VACATION. For 2 blessed weeks. Not one plan to be had.
How wonderful is that?
