09.15.2005 :: Look upwards

DSC05223.JPG
When I wake up to a view like this, it's almost worth getting up at this ungodly hour. I'm glad I did not miss this today. It energized my soul, just what I needed.
I'm hoping for some rain today. It's very dry and we need it desperately. The New England Foliage is not as good when it's too dry.
My foot is getting a bit better every day. Not as much as I'd like, of course. Impatience is not a virtue. I thank you for your well wishes. If only I could enjoy the near catatonic state induced by benadryl every evening with knitting, but alas, snoozing is the only way.
So, that's my life right now. Snoozing and itching. Could be worse!
Hope your sky is beautiful today too!

Love the photo. I read your comment about my post (Fall is Not My Own) and I want to let you know that I'm sure I want it to pass (as a stage of life). I will be so sad when they are out of the house. I love the busy times with them.

My sky and my sulk-level are about the same as Norma's today, so thank you for the lovely photo. Ah, yes, the Benadryl Buzz. I know it well...benadryl is the only thing that attacks my allergies. Trouble is, it's one of those "don't operate heavy machinery or parent a six-year-old" kinds of meds. Zzzz....

I love your sky pictures. Glad to hear that your foot is getting better, too! xxoo

If you look at the picture upside down, it looks like an ocean of fire (don't ask me why I looked at it upside down but I did). It's beautiful right side up AND upside down. Have a great weekend!

PS - I hope your foot is feeling much better. Think cool and soothing thoughts.

That is exactly why I love getting up with my grandparents (when visiting them) at an unGodly hour for coffee. We bundle up and sit out on their deck on their mountain in NH and wait for a sky like that. The occasional animal across the field is nice too. Beautiful.

That sky makes my day, too!

Wow, that would enthuse anyone I am sure...glad you caught it for all of us to share thanks Sandy!!
Hope your foot is getting better and you can come out of your Benadryl induced snoooooozzzzzzzzzzzze!! :)

My sky is quite murky and cloudy today. But a cool front came through and is sure to head in your direction. Your sky is marvelous this morning, Sandy. I wish for you a good, rainy weekend. :)

That really is gorgeous! You are lucky you saw that this morning; all I saw were clouds and some rain. :)

BTW, can you e-mail me privately?

Oh, and "Red sky in the morning...sailor's warning." Bet it's gonna rain.

Lovely sky. Mine is gray and washwater today. Of course, because I wanted to plant bulbs all day, it's pouring. Geesh. Guess I'll have to knit yellow Koigu. Ah, the life!

Sorry to hear about your foot. What an incredble photo, the colors are so intense. Feel better soon. :)

Thanks for that. It's lovely.

Hmm.... I get up early but rarely get to see anything that beautiful. Thanks for the gorgeous photo.

This bed slug only sees sights like that in the evening...are you telling me it happens twice a day? ;)

Beautiful sky!

I get to work so early that I often see the sunrise from our work cafeteria. I should try to remember to bring my camera up there -- a stunning sky as a backdrop to the U.S. Capitol would make for a great photo op!
