Joy. Seeing all these sky pictures from around the world just brings me joy.

They also took me to visit Northeast Fiber Arts. They are very good friends indeed! I hope you enjoy the picture. It was a perfect day for boating. =)

I was enjoying the pictures that came up on the other blogs, it inspired me to share a Minnesota sunrise with you. Unfortunately, after I made that decision, it rained steadily for the past few days. I got some great photos on my commute in this AM, but I don't have access to photo-editing software at work (and surely you don't want 1 M images), and I don't get home until way past your 5 PM EST deadline. Ah well. Just check it out later tonight anyway, even if I don't qualify for your contest.

Hi Sandy! I've got my sky photo posted!

Posted by: Kerin on 09.22.2005 AT 10:39 AM

Hey Sandy, It's not so far from you, but I have two pretty neat pictures that I've taken over time of the sky over at my neck of the woods. The sunrise one is my favorite, right at the beginning of fall!

My post for today is a sky picture. Go take a look!

Hi, Sandy! I want to share with you some lovely pictures of beach sky! Take a look here: http://donnasc.blogspot.com/2005/09/never-one-to-pass-up-contest.html

I never need much of an excuse to shoot sky photos. This gave me an excuse to try getting a moon shot and with a bit of bostering from Tips from the Top Floor (http://www.tipsfromthetopfloor.com/)I think I've surprised myself. Have a gander Sandy at what I found in the sky this morning: http://stoneview.typepad.com/stoneview/2005/09/and_hail_their_.html

Oh my........that is my favorite yarn/colorway and believe it or not, I made my "Making Waves" socks with that colorway and then promptly left them at the hotel in Rhinebeck last year....wwaaa! I will be taking a picture today and getting it up on my blog

Dawn sky over the city this morning - no pretty colors, but some cool wispy clouds.
http://www.fiberholics.com/weblog/ (My mom used to say "red sky in the morning, sailors take warning". So colorful sunrises make me nervous...)

I just posted a photo of the very sunny Lancashire sky (England, Great Britain). I even managed to include a bit of tree!

here are a few from northern New England; it's the sky above the lake and trees of the house I'm catsitting at this week. Thank you for the idea and the opportunity to take and share some pictures!

Posted by: Kristen on 09.21.2005 AT 09:54 PM

Here is a link to my photo of the sky. It's not that exciting today, but it's nice to see everyone else's!

Posted by: Katie on 09.21.2005 AT 09:38 PM

Duh....I meant it to say that I was going to check out all the sky pictures that people have posted about HERE..it reads like I am going to check out my own pictures...NOT! I know what they look like. I want to see all the others :)
My words don't always come out the way I want them to ...darn it!

I just got up a gorgeous blue sky over Seattle. It's fall here. The leaves are changing and I can wear all my favorite sweaters again.

Posted by: Jessica on 09.21.2005 AT 08:05 PM

Took a picture about 10 minutes ago and posted it.

I love all those little lacy clouds ... reminds me of half-dry fleece when I pull it apart.

Um, have I been sniffing too much lanolin, perchance?

Posted by: Rabbitch on 09.21.2005 AT 07:55 PM

My mountain photo turned out to be a better photo of the sky. Clear and sunny, around 92 degrees Monday afternoon. Less humidity than it has been and a hint of a breeze. Love that LL! Well I love most LL yarn.

Posted by: Paula on 09.21.2005 AT 07:44 PM

I posted my sky picture! The story day was pretty, almost as pretty as the yarn. What a neat idea for a contest.

Posted by: Tina on 09.21.2005 AT 06:43 PM

Oh yes, hook line and sinker I could not resist to post a sky scene to be eligible to win some yarn. Oh please please please me :)
Great blog by the way! It will be a link of mine for sure.

Posted by: Cathy on 09.21.2005 AT 06:41 PM

Okay, I posted mine! Not an exciting sky to photograph--just clear, deep blue--but it sure was lovely!

Posted by: Deb on 09.21.2005 AT 06:32 PM

My sky will go up tomorrow. NM skies, that is no joke!

Posted by: meg on 09.21.2005 AT 06:27 PM

Wednesday 5pm, 80 and sunny with a slight breeze. Does it get any better than this?

Posted by: Teri P on 09.21.2005 AT 06:15 PM

Do I get multiple chances at the Gold if I post another sky tomorrow? Or is that cheating? Stacking the deck? What if I want to anyway -- does that disqualify me? I just have all these questions. ;)

Posted by: Norma on 09.21.2005 AT 05:55 PM

Vera is the name of Lorna's mother, and she's in my local knitting group; I can just see her in that yarn. Cool! I'll have to tell her I saw a picture of "her" yarn out there.
