10.25.2005 :: Branching out scarf is finished!

Did you see it? The new Warm Hands Page? Look over there on the right. See the new Warm Hands button? Go ahead, click that. I'll wait here.
~whistling: or at least trying to~
Isn't it beautiful? Did you notice the banner and the new matching button? They are from my Liidia's mitten (one finished, Sept. 30th entry). I am beyond thrilled with this wonderful knitalong page! I will update the list there soon, I have not yet done it. Visit it, visit often. Go ahead and keep signing up there!
Thank you, Mary for such a blog of beauty!

I finished the Branching Out Scarf! But today you only get to see edges!

Perfectly nice but I began to think that it lacked SOMETHING. I remembered the edging from the Adika mittens from the Smitten Mitten booklet and knew I was on to something!

What do you think? Gives it a bit of a funky feel!
How about a closeup of the leaves?

Oh, Ok. Now I see the fringe detail. (blushing slightly) Still lovely. Scrolling down to earlier responses and commenting on them in reverse order always gets me in trouble.

Sandy...
I am going to try to cast on for thrums this weekend... any pattern suggestions? i am using a pattern from a kit that I bought (hated the itchy scratchy yarn, so am using cascade 220 instead), but it's full of errors. :(

LOVE the scarf edge detail! oh la la...

I adore that color. It's splendid.

I love the edge! I love it!
(Wait. I'm overly excited. Sorry. Too much coffee. I'm going to go lie down now. Sorry again.)

Oooh, lovely! And the edging is a wonderful touch.

What beautiful yarn! I can't wait to see the whole scarf. (I did finish up my white mittens, but since I started them before the kal, I am obligated to buy yarn for more mittens. At least that is whay I told my hubby. :-))

What beautiful yarn! I love the pattern, it is such a fun knit and so pretty when it is finished, especially with your special border!

Branching Out is next on my list, I'm thinking. I need it for a Christmas present. The ONLY Christmas present I'm knitting this year. I'm being good to myself!
The Warm Hands page looks great, I noticed right away that you used your mitten! Great job!

Gorgeous color! Can't wait to see it in all its glory!

Pretty edging.

Can I join the mitten knitalong ? Pretty please ?

Beautiful yarn! I forgot to update you before Monday--I've finished one mitten.

Your BO scarf is lovely! :)

Oh, oh, oh, I must have details on that edging. I've been fiddling with things for the Harlot Homespun scarf, which desperately NEEDS SOMETHING, and haven't found "it" yet. Now I think I might have! You're a genius.

I thought that yarn was pretty. I also thought the new Warm Hands page was very nice, but I wasn't listed. :( The sky here is a crystal clear blue. Fall has arrived in AL. It went from 80 degrees on Friday to 60 on Sat.
