11.07.2005 :: New update on Warm hands! Partial one anyway! Anyone have an extra hour to hand over to me??

New updates on the Warm hands blog! Check out the mittens! It's enough to make my hands get cold just to get some sympathy so they will get new mittens!
More later!

Does this mean you have completely given up on the Mission Falls mitten? I was so sad when I read your last post because I was looking forward to knitting it, but the things that you didn't like about it are all things that I don't like either. . .

I love your tree story. We have only tall trees in the yard now so they don't bend under the snow, but when I was a kid I used to feel bad for the trees and bushes straining under the weight of the snow and I used to clear them off, too. What a nice thing for your husband to do. Your story makes me want to plant trees for my kids now.

Just an update for the KAL - I have 2 little pairs of mittens done at my site with some chunky wool. Another pair 1/2 done! The striped ones you are making are gorgeous!

I so totally suck. I'm still stuck in Socktober. I pulled out a mitten kit but right now don't have the time to learn the fancy edge braid thingy. :-(

Sandy - do you need help with the knitalong? I have an extra hour to help if that's what you meant - just let me know!

Thank you for the kind thoughts. It's just so scary to think my parent's were so close to having their house destroyed, and then finding out Isaiah was gone. I always count us lucky we don't deal with Hurricanes and Nor'easters. But we do have the threat of Tornados, just not usually in November.

With a high of 35 today I'm wishing my mitts were done!

You come up with the greatest knit-a-long ideas. :)

Did you get my Miami postcard? xxoo
