11.19.2005 :: Saturday is for Powderpuffs!
It is Beverly High School tradition that before the big Thanksgiving grudge match is played against Salem High School, the Senior BHS girls will take on the Senior SHS girls. Powderpuff Football. That is where I spent my afternoon. A better afternoon could not have been spent!
Go BHS! It's okay if you cannot pick out Bethany in this picture! (She's playing Safety. Whatever that is!)
There she is, my little BHurl! (That's what her shirt said!)
There were Cheerleaders!
What's a football game without cheerleaders?
And Proud fathers of cheerleaders!
When Beverly scored, the cheerleaders couldn't help but show some testosterone. They did pushups in the end zone!
Final Score?
Beverly 35
Salem 13
Beverly Powderpuffs Rule!
It's almost too much fun for one day, really!

Oh man, that looks like so much fun - I remember the first time I broke my nose was in our powderpuff game in high school...but we're not talking about that.
Your daughter is gorgeous.

congratulations to your daughter. that looks like a lot of fun. one thing though -- i hate that it's called powderpuff football -- clearly a man came up with the name.

That really looked like fun. Also reminded me of the time my son and his girlfriend (then both 13) went trick or treating. He wore her cheerleader outfit, and she his football gear!

That is great! My business partner attended BHS 30+ years ago; I'll have to ask her if they had the Powderpuff game then. :)

That IS almost too much fun for one day! I got a rock. I mean, "I finished a sock." That's a cool thing, too, isn't it? Not as fun as your day, though. Clearly.
