A is for
A is for Andy.
Andy and Derek (a bonus face) playing cards at our yearly Christmas poker game at my Mom's. We have Christmas, we play cards. Some dance, some sing, we play cards.
24 years ago, Andy came into my life. We both stood on a porch at a party and started flipping bottle caps onto the street below. 3 short months later he asked me to marry him. I knew from the instant the first bottle cap flew that we would spend the rest of our lives together. Even now I cannot explain that feeling. In retrospect, almost 22 years of marrisge later, our families took it well. I can honestly say that if one of my kids came home engaged after 3 months, I'd have some questions.
Sometimes, you just know.

A great way to start the ABC along! I know exactly what you mean about knowing. It is one of the fortunate happenstances of life, if it happens to you. You just have to be smart enough to recognize it.

Now I don't feel so silly having been engaged after 3 months. We were engaged longer than we dated. We are on 12 1/2 years of marraige (yes, I was a late bloomer). I agree, we just knew!

Yay for Andy! And, yeah, when it's right, you just know. Dale and I talked about getting married before we'd even gone out on a date. We just knew.

Me too, just knew. But it was the second time we met. Eighteen months earlier we hated each other. I think that we weren't ready at that time and liking each other would have been a mistake. You are blessed, thanks for sharing. And hey-I miss you. Hope to see you soon?

Aren't we so lucky to have found that person? Everyday I think how lucky I am. I'm so glad you are too! I've been with Georgie since I was 20 years old. Pretty dang young if you ask me. Sometimes you DO just know.
