02.12.2006 :: We interrupt this frenzied life for a blizzard break:
The weather is, indeed frightful. With blizzard warnings posted throughout this day, I will gladly settle in watching the blowing and the drifting from under my blanket, thank you very much.
I hope your Sunday is lazy too!

It's snowing like crazy up here in Maine. A great day to sit on the sofa, knit, and watch the Olympics!

No snow here but very cold. Getting ready to post a sky watcher picture!
43 degrees here and sunny, but it's very cold for the deep south!

Bust out the hot chocolate, stay warm, and enjoy the blizzard knitting!

I brought in plenty of firewood and have fluffed pillows and pulled out my Grandmother's afghan, in preparation for just such a lazy afternoon. I'm hoping to get several repeats on my Olympic project finished by dinnertime.

What could be better than looking out the window, watching the snow, and knitting?
I share with you my knitting haiku from several years ago:
Snow falls silently
as I sit by the window
knitting, watching, still

Sounds terrific! Since only one of my kids is working today, and it's Sunday, I think I'll send out Dad's taxi to take him, and I will concentrate on my Valentine's Day deadline knitting! We only got the edge of this storm, but it's still pretty!

Happy snow. We aren't getting any. At lesat my Weatherbug hasn't been beeping, so I assume we're not. Oh, wait. My sound is off on the computer. I'm worn out, can you tell?

Ohhhhhh snowy day. Will any babies be born at home? THAT would be a knitting emergency. Hurry knit the blanket. Boil some water. Felt it. Dry it. Warm the baby in a new blanket!
enjoy the beauty of your snowgift.
