Bethany told me this joke last night and I thought about posting it here, you know, to the knitting blog? And then I read Norma's joke and knew that somehow today was Joke Day. When the jester of the world conspires to share jokes, who are we to resist?
This Mushroom walks into a bar.
The bartender says, "Hey! What are you doing in here?"
The Mushroom answers, "I'm a fungi!"

As a self-proclaimed biology geek, I love that joke! Way back when I took plant taxonomy I remember our homework over Thanksgiving break was to collect turkey tail fungi. Dr. Lemon really did try to make fungi fun ;)

As a former Biology major, I like that joke!
Here's another:
Piece of string walks into a bar. Bartender says, "We don't serve string here", and kicks him out. So the string makes a loop of itself, pulls one end through the loop, tightens it, and roughs up the ends a little until they're fuzzy, and then goes back in the bar. Bartender comes back and says, "Hey, weren't you that piece of string I kicked out of here earlier?".
The string says, "I'm afraid not".
