03.26.2006 :: My world is very small lately
And it pretty much looks like this. Some knitting, but not much and a microwave heat pack for the blinding headaches. Headaches that I can't quite figure out. I narrowed it down to swollen gland related or it could be a muscular thing specifically TMJ related. Either way, it sucks and hurts.
The knitting? New yarn for Mrs. Beeton. All of a sudden these wristwarmers are calling my name. Why fight it? What's missing from this photo is the conwy socks. I work on those a bit every day. And the Lost DVD's. I'm all about those lately. We are up to disc 5 and it occurs to me that we must be nearing the end of Season 1 which makes me a bit sad. These DVD's have been our date night fun as of late.
Then of course there is this growing pile!
The fast growing pile of mail coorespondence from colleges that I classify as "Please, please, pick me! PICK ME!" Almost daily we receive letters from the 3 possible college choices.
So, that's whats going on around here?
Yeah. Not much.

Hmmm... seems that there's lots of 2cent opinions out there for you, so I'll add yet another! (he he) It took my nautropath about 2 minutes to figure out my headaches were from a calcium shortage.got vitamins from her, better that day.. So the consensus is....(drum roll please).. go have someone do something about those nasty headaches... no need to suffer dear Sandy..**hugs**
oh and by the way, nice yarn too :-)

Hi Sandy, I took some Las Vegas sky pictures for you. Hope nobody saw me behind the closed curtains to shut out the room lights. Did you go to the doctor? I sympathize, as I sometimes have three-day neck/ shoulder/headaches that are awful. It hurts to move my head. Mine are tension related, and I have TMJ and Fibromyalgia. Please get it checked out!

Sandy
Why suffer? I know people feel differently about how much medical care they want, but I hope you take some guidance from someone in medicine you trust.
LOST is a fav. of Al's at our house.

So everyone else has told you to go to the doctor. I agree.
Congrats on the college stuff. When does the decision have to be made?

Hey, I see that UNH card on the top. Wouldn't it be fun if our girls entered together in the fall? That is the only school we have heard from so far......
At least she will go somewhere. Whew.

Choosing-a-college headache, that's what I'm thinking. I hope it goes away once Bethany makes up her mind. :-) Of course, then comes the shopping for collegiate clothes and dorm furnishings...
Feel better soon, and if you don't, then get thee to the doctor. Like everyone else has already said. ;-)

Hope you feel better soon! (And I'm in the "go to the doctor if they don't get better soon" crowd too.)

I envy that yo uare able to work on the Conwy socks, I gave up after a couple of bad attempts. Looking forward to seeing your next finished pair.
Regarding you headaches, check out the nitrates in you food, ,also. I get SEVERE headashes when I've had too many nitrates. (Smoked ham, barbeque Doritos, that sort of thing. Just my $.02, also. Took my doctor and numerous allergists FOUR years to find this one. And, yes, I will still have bacon once in a great while, knowing the consequences.)

Sandy, would you believe I have been dealing with the same thing, going on 4 weeks. I have been to my GP, and he has decided I need to have a head CT. He prescribed something to prevent the H/A's until I can get the scan. I warned him that there may not be anything to scan up there! I feel for you, take care

So, didya go to the doctor???
Just sayin'.

Oh, add me to the list saying go to your doctor and get the inexplicable headaches checked out!!!!
Lovely yarn choices for Mrs B.

I had surgery for an underbite (the cause of my TMJ) when I was 22 (24 years ago). It was the cause of some really bad headaches, usually up one side of my face.
I agree with the other lovely people, you need to go see your PCP and make sure that is the underlying cause.
Please take care of yourself and get plenty of rest.
Lost is 'da bomb, eh?

I'll add an "I agree" to Laurie's comment about going to your PCP.
I do hope you are feeling better soon!

You're up to Disc 5???? You passed me that quickly? I've got 4 sitting downstairs. Perhaps this afternoon, but I've got all that work to do.
Damn those headaches. Don't I know it. Could it be hormones like me? If you do see a doctor, please ask that question. It took three doctors to figure out mine were related to that, and it was only an offhand comment I made to my gynecologist that got the answer. Geesh. I was pretty pissed at the others who didn't even seem to know about the connection between estrogen drop and headaches.

Blinding headaches should be checked out with your PCP, dear one. Just sayin'.
Congratulations on all that college success! What a wonderful thing to be happening to your "little" one.

As a college counselor I love this part of my job... all the acceptances and choices! I'm sure you will all decide on the perfect spot.
