03.28.2006 :: Doctor, doctor! Give me the news!
I cannot thank you enough for your support. You are the best! But I already knew that!
I really don't think I can email all of you who commented and left advise and postitive wishes so please accept my eternal thanks!
I had my doctor's appointment this morning and it's as I suspected. Lower back muscle strain: which can take anywhere from 4-10 days to feel better, provided I take care of myself. A balance of rest and walking, absolutely no strain, which I'm happy to report includes laundry, vacuuming, dishes and cleaning in general. Poor me! :) She gave me a prescription to help overcome the pain, which I am in need of for now.
I'll be on my heating pad! Am I missing anything out there in blogworld?

Vacuumming is absolutely the WORST thing you can do for your back (sweeping and raking are very bad, too). You take it easy, lady!!!

Nothing like doctor's orders prohibiting housework! That was worth the cost of the visit alone. Take it easy.

Out there in blogland everyone is writing glowing reveiws of the Mason-Dixon book. Even Jane at yarnstorm, who gotto meet Kay this week in London - lucky duck! - is raving about it. No copies yet here in Canada but if you can send out a memeber of your family to get you a copy it would be excellent and inspring "recovery reading". Hope you feel better!

I'm glad you're taking it easy! Let's see, what's up in blogland... The Yarn Harlot posted a lovely review of the new Mason-Dixon Knitting book that has me twitching to buy...

Ice helped my back, too. If heat doesn't work try an ice pack. Enjoy the rest and feel better fast!

I am sorry you have stressed your back. Take care!
Also, if you are out at Rite-Aid (or can send someone to one) there is a product called 024, you can see here http://www.024zone.com/
and I guarantee that you will feel relief using this spray. I use it daily for my back problem. However, I have strained my back, knee, and ankle once on a hike I went on and thought I was going to die and my dad sprayed that stuff on and life was tolerant. I don't get anything for promoting this stuff and am not really trying to spam your blog, just though if I can help someone else like this has helped me I would pass the word.

Sit back, relax, read and enjoy, sweetie. Wish there were something I could do to help. How about a long-distance hug, and lotsa love? xoxox
