03.30.2006 :: E is for Egg
A chicken egg found with a double shell, bought from the local grocery store. I had never seen such a thing.
A blue bird egg found on the beach at the lake:
Eggs: they fascinate me!

My back is feeling a bit better today and progress is progress. It is actually much better than on Sunday and Monday but has a way to go to be considered GOOD.
Now, my bloglines is showing 348 new items. Glory. You people have lots to say, doncha?

Wow, I love that double shell. I think my favorite thing about it is that the two shells are different colors. A very talented chicken laid that.

Glad you are feeling somewhat better. The blue bird egg shows that spring really is here.

Shell we celebrate the fact that you're feeling much better?? Now is not the time to be too eggstravigant, dearie. Lay yourself down and nest, sugar.
Oooh, I just crack myself up.
Love you, chickieroo.xoxo

I love seeing little eggshells on the ground. I always feel bad if they contain something though.
I'm glad you're feeling better. Spring is no time to be sick :)

Glad you're feeling better. The blue egg makes me deeply happy. Apparently, I am easy to please.

I just spent 10 minutes of my morning (my very busy morning. I'm late now) googling double shelled eggs. I learned very little, except that it seems to happen when the chicken holds onto the egg for too long. Weird eh?
Happened to dinosaurs too...

I think the double shell indicates that the chick inside has a very, very special purpose here on Earth.
And you ate it.

*boggle* I didn't know that was possible! How the heck would a chick get out of that darn thing?? The blue egg is fabulous. Wouldn't life be better if all eggs were blue?

Ninja Mutant Chicken Egg. Did you get this at the Whole Foods? This is quite something. Anne (How The West Was Spun)'s hubby is an ornithologist. I think he'd get a kick out of this. And might have an explanation? Or maybe you'll get rich!!!!

Nifty! That must have been one, confused chicken, though!
Glad you're feeling better.

Hey, I'm just a commenter. I take absolutely no responsibility for your bloglines backlog. I'm glad your back's feeling better though!

The bloglines, it is so overwhelming to catch up if you miss a day or two!
(Actually, in order to cope in those instances, I have gotten over the guilt of just clicking to clear the old ones out and start fresh with the new posts. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.)
I'm glad you're feeling better, and I hope that you continue on the path of happy recovery. :)

Wow, I can't tell you what we were discussing about this here at work. It's not bloggable. Perhaps the egg wasn't quite ready and went back in for a second try? Oh, yuk, ewwwww.....

Double shell? That must mean good luck. It's just good to hear you are improving.

A double shell? I've never seen such a thing! That's crazy.

Love the eggs! I've had double yolks but never double shells.
You know I've got lots to say. Most of the time I can't keep my mouth shut.
