06.27.2006 :: Creatures of the Reef, revisited

I wonder. Where did I put that?
Is it here?

Nope. Not there.
Here?

How about back there? Way in there?

YES! There it is. Under stuff.

There is something about summer that makes me wish for lace knitting. Which is weird, since I really don't LIKE lace knitting. But I love this shawl. This was last summer's knitting. I guess it was a "to be continued" kind of piece.
The challenge? To make heads or tails of where the heck I left off. I did clearly mark the row, but I have to figure out if I'm on a right side or wrong side. Garter stitch. Geez Louise. Right or wrong?
It's enough to hurt the brain.

Saturday Sky update:
103 people signed up. You could blow me away with a fiddlesticks shawl. Seriously!
I am working on setting up a web ring for the sky blogs. I'll let you know when sign ups for that begin.
For now, let's see where we will see the Saturday skies! Go sign the Frappr Map. Be sure to leave your blog address so we know who you are! (It's awfully hard to plug a name with a blog randomly)

Yay summer! Yay lace! Isn't it just time? It just doesn't feel the same in winter.

Hey Sandy:)
My sky is gorgeous, but on my Sister's camera. She just bought it and is not sure how to get the pics onto her computer. Soon as we can get together and get those on her laptop, I'll post them to Frappr. Great idea!

You can do it! Mine "marinated" for quite some time until I picked it up again - after that, it was smooth sailing and a quick finish. GO FOR IT! It's lovely when finished!!!

While you're searching, if you happen to come across my TV remote, please let me know!! :) I know that frustration all too well!!

I bought that pattern last month. I LOVE it... I'm just not sure when I'll get around to it. I can't wait to see your progress with it. :D

The shawl will be lovely!

I got myself on the map - but, it did some strange things...like listed my blog three times...

I love that shawl too, in fact it was the 2nd shawl I made. I made it in a lovely Zephyr for my mother, since she was raised by the sea.

To determine if you stopped on the RS, count your stitches to find a YO. If it is patiently wrapped around your needle waiting to be knit off, you just knitted the RS. If the yarnover is hanging around below the stitch on the needle, you just knitted the return (WS) row. This ofcourse, assumes that the return row is only knit stitch.

Good luck!

Great idea!

I'm going to have to snag my husband's camera just to keep upstairs to take pictures off the deck.
