07.14.2006 :: Nightly walks

It's Friday, but somehow it feels like Thursday to me. This is good. The weekend is here and I feel like there is one more workday!
So what's the deal?
With my non blogging lately. I wish I knew. I guess I'm in a mondo slump. I feel a fraud calling this a knitting blog. Perhaps it's more accurately a photo blog.
I have been going for nightly walks lately. All in the getting healthy effort. (11 pounds lost, by the way). I took the camera along one evening, trying to catch the beautiful light of dusk. I am fascinated by the silhouette.

The one above is the silhouette of my home.
I am lucky enough to live near the water, so here's a peek at the beach that is 3 blocks from my house. (I cannot see the water from my home, but I can hear the boats and the foghorns)

I would know if I was going through a blog crisis, wouldn't I? I hope it's not fatal.

What the?! Where'd this post come from?

Those photos are lovely, and to have that three blocks from your home -- you are lucky!

Yay for 11 pounds!!!! XOXOXO

Blog slump, schmog blump. No worries. It'll come when it wants to.

No crisis here, honey bun. It's all good. Congrats on waving bah-bye to 11 pounds! Way to go, Sandy!

Sandy, I know exactly what you are talking about -- not writing so much about knitting - but remember there is more to your life than knitting and your blog shows it! And congratulations on the weight loss!
Would you like to join us in our walks at http://40days40miles.blogspot.com/

We would love for you to join us.

Congrats on the weight loss!! And on the gorgeous, as always, pictures. :) Life was too crazy for me to take Saturday Sky pictures last weekend and this weekend I'll be out of town. Alas.

Beautiful pictures! I just love seeing pictures of the ocean. Ahhhhhh; relaxing. :)

Congrats on the 11 pounds! Go Sandy!

Now's the time of year to be out and about! Enjoy!

Perhaps you're too busy living to be concerned with blogging. It happens. Give yourself a break if you need it, and don't feel guilty about it.

You're so lucky to have the ocean right there!

I know the blah blog feeling. Sometimes it's just tough to post. Someone commented that it seemed as though all the blogs were a little slumpy. Maybe it's just because summer is full of so many wonderful things it's tough to get excited about sitting in front of the computer.

I love being a part of Saturday Sky. It's really made me take a closer look at the world around me. Thanks!

Congrats on the weight loss!

Thank you for the pictures. Everything looks so cool and lovely. Of course, part of that could be feeling overheated and limp. *L*

Don't worry about the blog. It will take care of itself while you're out having a life.

Ebb and flow, ebb and flow, you'll get your blog back!

Congrats on the weight loss! Great pictures love the one of the beach.

COngratulations on losing over 22 skeins of yarn. (How's THAT for perspective, huh?) Lots of people aren't knit-blogging these days. It's summer. Just a few more hot weeks until Labor Day. Yay!!!!
Love your water pic, it looks so serene.

Congrats on the getting healthy stuff! I love the pictures. For some reason it never occured to me to take an evening Saturday Sky pic.

I love to watch the water in all it's forms as much as you love sky watching - thanks for the beach picture!

Congrats on the weight loss.

First, congratulations on the 11 pound loss! That's great.

2nd, loved your pictures and I'd walk every night too if I could walk 3 blocks to the beach!

3rd, if your slump is anything like my slump, I know what your slump is from! I've had it, it comes and goes now, for almost 4 months. Yup, slumps make us grumps, don't you agree?

Bye, bye 11 pounds. Yay for walks!

Posted by: claudia on 07.14.2006 AT 05:27 PM

I love your photos, and I love that you've got me into skywatching (I used to lie for hours watching the clouds scudding past when I was a child - I should do it more often) and I'm soooo jealous that you live near water. Would you believe that even though the UK is a little island, my 4-year-old still hasn't seen the sea. It's shameful.

Posted by: Anne on 07.14.2006 AT 05:22 PM

I love those photos and I am terribly jealous of anyone lucky enough to live near the water.
I think that it's way too easy to fall into a slump when it's so blasted hot out. It just makes you feel slow and unmotivated.

I think most of us are in a schlump....it is just too hot, too humid, too this or too that! I think it is just the general state of things!

Congrats on your 11 lb. loss.....I think I found it!! LOL!! Continued success on your weight loss, enjoy your evening walks!! Those of us that are no where near the water enjoy your pictures....keep them coming!!
