07.17.2006 :: Happy Birthday, Norma!

2 things today. (*ANd by TODAY, I mean, Tuesday, July 18th. I posted a wee bit early as to get to bed at a reasonable hour. So, some of the birthday wishes were a tad early. Details, details. NOW, is Norma's birthday!! ) :) Both important.
First. And most important, go over and wish Miss Norma a happy, happy birthday. She deserves a rousing day of good wishes. Go ahead, sing to her if you wish. Or check this page and learn to say Happy Birthday in 161 languages. Think we can use them all up on Norma?
Here's mine for her:
Torson odriin mend hurgee!
That's Mongolian. She is the Dulaan queen and I'm sure all the children wearing her lovingly knit hats and mittens would want to say it themselves.
SECOND: Important in it's own way, but not as nice as a birthday, have any of you had any trouble commenting here lately? Specifically being denied commenting because of QUESTIONABLE CONTENT, when none was involved? If of course, your comment was denied because there was indeed questionable content, then go now and wash your mouth out with soap! :)
Please let me know. Of course, email me, because you'll have trouble commenting. Silly.

Now, go. To Norma's.

Just trying to be not questionable. I actually quite like being questionable, but anything for you.

;-)

Aha! I had to pull my Latin out of my brain to compete with all these other world languages over at Norma's, and here I thought people were just being worldly and clever (not that they aren't worldly and clever).

Sneaky sneaky!

(I love the ten thousand dialects for German)

oh, so You're the reason two people nowhere near Ireland knew how to say Happy Birthday in Gaelic. I was wondering about that. The other languages I just thought were, you know, regular cultural stuff from the commenter's life, but the duplicate Gaelic had me confused.

Wish I'd come here first though. I just had to stick with plain old English.

Done. Are you the official Birthday Blogger? (If so, we needed to know this info BEFORE so we could have sent something!)

Hey, it's YOU!!! I wondered where all that stuff and nonsense was coming from. Hee. People were saying, "Hey, I just found out it's your birthday" at, yes, 10:30 last night. And then there were all the world language birthday greetings. Hmmmm, I thought something was up! Hee. Thank you, my dear. You are the best.

Awww, geez. *sniff*

How do you like that? It's the email address -- have you had problems with yahoo in general or is it just my moniker?

Love that happy birthday site!

LOL... I haven't had problems commenting, but I sure have problems with e-mails to comcast.net accounts!!! I have to send them e-mails to get off their black list almost every single time!!! It is annoying the you-know-what out of me...

Cheers Eva - who loves to wander through the Saturday Sky webring :)
