Those are wonderful pix of a lovely creature. Its delicate grace belies its migration travails and tenacity.

I've been seeing monarchs all over the place lately... aren't they migratory? I wonder if they're just passing by on their way south.

Wonderful photos. San Diego is on the Monarch migration path for the winters and we get blanketed in them.
