10.28.2006 :: Blustery, nay, hurricane-ish Saturday sky
The wind is howling, the mums have flown off my porch and may be rolling around the neighborhood by now and the recycling bin has just rumbled across the porch on this windy and stormy Saturday Sky day!
Hang onto your hats!
Today was meant to be spending parents weekend time at the UNH football game. I think not! Sorry team, you'll just have to press on without us! Instead, our version of parents weekend will include sitting in a restaurant, eating lunch together. Hey, together is together!
Pray for my pumpkins!

We had a lot of wind and rain here on Saturday morning, but the real damage to my pumpkins was done by a trio of squirrels. I didn't even have any left to carve for Halloween!

The wind has been crazy lately were I am at. So so much rain too. Although I prefer rain to snow cause it dosen't have to be shoveled!!!
I hope your pumpkins weather it all okay!!!!

It was horribly blustery and rainy here on Saturday - no time to be outside (though I was all day!) - our pumpkins and even our big trash bin were blown all over the place!

Was in your neck of the woods Saturday- quite the weather wasn't it? Hope your basement stayed dry.

I think winter is blowing in early.
My dear mumms went rolling down the patio the other day too! Yours looks like they are going to roll right into your little gnome guy!

*L* I went chasing our mums across the yard this weekend as well. I was almost afraid to walk our little dog for fear it would turn into a kite flying.

Looks like you've got some goblins a little early!

Yes, it's been wet and windy here, too, although miraculously saw the sun for about 20 minutes around lunch . . . good thing I enjoyed the foliage last weekend, because a remarkable number of leaves came down overnight!
Really, I'm just grateful that the weather wasn't like this LAST weekend. That would have been one, wet blogger's gathering!

Hey, that looks like the same weather we had last Sunday!
Enjoy your cozy lunch together, and stay warm and dry!

It's wild out there! And we're going to a wedding tonight in Cohasset. Yikes!

You got the right idea -- together IS together. And really, who cares about the old football game anyway? We didn't even go to Parents' Weekend this year -- Abigail says she is too busy for us. Imagine that! Too busy for your own parents. That's what happens when you become a STAR. The little stinker.

Whew. That's exactly what they have been forecasting for 36 hours! I'm hoping the 60mph peaks don't come to where I live.
I'm making braised short ribs, lighting a fireplace fire, opening some appropriate red wine, and snuggling in for the evening.

Yes, this is a horrible day out there. It's not a day for umbrellas, they'll be gone in a second!

Woah, looks like you are having the same weather that we are having here (only colder). It's really windy and wouldn't you know my guy decides today is THE day to cut down the dead pine trees in the front yard that are 70ft tall. ugh.
I hope your weather clears up soon.

Sounds like a perfect end to your week off. Susan reminds me I saw Norma's gnome!

I hope you poor little gnome doesn't get spirited away by the wind.
