Gaggle of Ghosts!
Guys and Ghouls!
Ghosts are a Gas!
Ghastly Ghostly!
Oddly enough, I'm feeling a bit emotional this halloween. Ridiculous, I know. Hormonal, I'm sure. But the ghosts of our halloween pasts are stirred up. This is the first time that I have carved a pumpkin alone. It wasn't quite as fun, I'll tell you.

Boo You! Guess I'll turn on the tv and knit a while. Plenty of candy left over if you want some!

Was it you who had the Strong Bad jack o'lantern last year? I think it was. That was awesome, but this one is awfully good too!

I figured our house would be toast on Halloween, since nobody was home to answer the doorbell, but the tree in front is TP-free and nobody egged the car. Wonders never cease!

Happy Halloween-it's a bit late but oh well. I love your pumpkin. For some reason we never get to carving a pumpkin, probably because we don't have a front step to put it on. I'll won't be over for candy any time soon-we have tons. :)

Hi. My name is Kate. You're Sandy? It's nice to meet you.

Great pumpkin.

Sorry you were a bit down this Halloween. It is hard as kids get older and move on and such.

Very cool pumpkin!

Hi Sandy! Happy November! May I join the Warm Hands KAL? I've been whipping out mittens left and right lately, and have taken great inspiration from the warm hands blog!

Thanks!

AWESOME Pumpkin carving!! We don't get any Trick-Or-Treaters here in the woods which is a bummer for me since I love Halloween!!

Looking forward to seeing your latest knitting creations!!

Happy Halloween, Sandy! Remembering my Halloweens past I listened to Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique - something my dad would play every halloween.

No trick or treaters this year - my neighborhood seems to be empty of children!

Damn! I knew I was forgetting something. We forgot to carve the pumpkins. No trick or treaters here in the inner city, so you kinda forget.
Hope you got some good knitting time in.
Just think, in a few years, you'll have little grand-gobblins around! (Then again, that thought may make you sad...)

Oh PUH LEASE! Every little family of little girls with costumes that mom put together for them that came to trick or treat made me, well, not sad, just a little melancholy. Home alone, doing the candy thing. I know just how you feel. It just didn't feel like halloween. Next year-we party together girl!

Actually, I was waiting to hear what kind of a Red Li*ght Dis*trict costume my daughter was going to come up with tonight, but she wasn't even going to bother, I guess. The R.A.'s were going to give out candy to the frosh, I guess.
You carved that pumpkin all by yourself? That's SWEET. I haven't even carved a pumpkin in I don't know how long. Damn, I meant to post a photo of Abigail when she was three. Cuter than hell. I've just been so busy.

Cool pumpkin, I carved the same one...alone. Knitters unite!

Oh, and chocolate heals all ;-)

Happy Halloween!

I'm not surprised that you'd feel a bit sentimental tonight. It's the first year that Hannah hasn't gone trick or treating and that felt weird, too.

Sending many wishes of a Happy Halloween to you.

Happy Halloween Sandy! My youngest one still goes out to trick or treat. He actually helped me with the pumpkins today and carved out his first one with a little help. Strangely I too felt sad, knowing the time will come only too soon when no-one else will be there to partake in the rituals.

I LOVE your pumpkin. We too have lots of candy left over- the rest of it is going to work with my husband.

Happy Halloween Sandy! You can come spend it with me next year. I've still got a 10-year old who really gets into it. It was cold and damp this year. I think I can just about feel my toes again.

Happy Halloween, Sandy. I, too, had a sentimental day, as my "babies" are away at college this year. (Twins, girls.) Gotta love those memories, though!
