11.23.2006 :: Taking a break from the kitchen

turkey
We are celebrating Thansgiving here today. I have lots to be thankful for and I'm hoping you do too!
Warm wishes to you and your family, even if, for you, it's just plain old Thursday!
Oh, and Canada?? Can you smell the turkey cooking yet?
(Must get back to the kitchen. Mr. Turkey is still a bit frozen. Don't you hate that?)

So I guess that's not YOUR turkey in the photo, then?

Drum roll, please: My turkey came out the best of my entire life. Made up for the lousy pies and cranberry sauce, I guess.

We had the best Thanksgiving I can ever remember....just the three of us! :)

Happy Thanksgiving to you, too.
And, yeah, my bird is still frozen, too. And it's been thawing in the fridge since Monday. What is up with that?
Hope you're having fun in the new kitchen.

Your turkey looks dee-licious :-) Happy Thanksgiving!

I think it is a rule of Thanksgiving/Christmas that the turkey, no matter how long it has been freed from the deep freeze, must be a little frozen.

I wondered where that aroma of roasting poultry and simmering cranberry sauce was coming from. Enjoy your American Thanksgiving!

That's not *your* turkey in that pretty picture? snort
Happy Thanksgiving, my dear friend.
