02.06.2007 :: Hoping, wishing and planning: all fun stuff
As I near the end of the Green Mountain Spinnery sweater, my mind has started to look forward. Let's ignore that pink elephant in the corner of the room dressed as unfinished knits. I won't look. I won't. You shouldn't either. Don't encourage him!
Let's get right to the chase, shall we?

Or
Blue.

What do you think? Speak now or forever hold your peace. (I reserve the right to totally change my mind and listen or not listen as
dictated by my mood du jour. Just so you know!)
And Donna Lily? I forgot (GASP) to take her picture over the weekend, but here are the previous 2 days of Amaryllis Cam!!
Amaryllis Cam, Day 8 and 9!
She's getting so tall!
And look at how the bud area is changing. Our little girl is growing up so fast!!
What color do you think she's going to be? Manise, commenter and friend extraordinaire thinks RED and in time for Valentine's day! That would be good.
I'm not telling the color though. You'll have to wait and see for yourself!

Blue definitely is for you! Watch your lovely miss Donna Lily be pink now.... ya never know!

It's frightening, how enthralled I am with watching your lilly grow.
I had thought about starting "Apple Watch 2007" with an apple that had sat on my desk for a week, but thought better of it. Watching a flower grow is much more interesting than watching an apple wither. Heh heh.

I think cause you love the sky, and you might regret a cardigan that shows the soil so easily, (and blue IS my favourite colour ), you should go with the blue. I couldn't make the vote thingy work...no site or something..
Love, love, love the blue heather and love that pattern too!@!

Blue! I vote for BLUE!!! I love that pattern and recently added it to my pile, too. ; )
I can't wait to see the amaryllis in bloom!

You're the sky girl, so obviously it has to be blue!
I want a pink flower, just because. I have no idea if they actually come in a pink variety. ;-)

I'm partial to the blue but of course cream would be beautiful too!!
Looks like the Donna LIly has had a growing spell!!!

You make the cream one. I'm making it in another color - not determined yet - I already have 2 cream sweaters. I ordered the pattern last week. I'm so excited. Gotta finish this baby knitting.

I voted for Cream, but the blogpoll rejected me. So my vote didn't count. Boo.

Hello,
I chose blue, but I think it would look gorgeous in either color. Blue would make it more 'every day' as cream would make for an elegant sweater worn with slacks or a sporty one worn with jeans. So I guess I would first think what I'd want from this sweater before picking a color :)
Cheers Eva - who thinks the amaryllis is going to be a deep dark red.

I'm going to knit it in Lamb's Pride -- "Jack's Plum." When are you starting?!?

I made my mom a vest in that same blue Beaverslide yarn and it is an absolutely gorgeous color. Of course, it's hard to go wrong with their yarn!

I predict she'll be white. Like your new sweater.

I voted for cream, but if you already have a cream aran, I vote for blue (uphold MA tradition - vote early and often!) Are you doing the cardi or the pullover?
And I think Donna Lily will be peppermint stick striped!

The sweater is very pretty. I picked to cream. I don't know. I know cream can seem dull, but that one is so pretty.

I think the blue would look beautiful on you ... but heed my Flyingdales tragedy and check your gauge!!
Posted by: Ruth on 02.06.2007 AT 07:44 PM
I think the amaryllis is going to be salmon pink since in the prebloom stage it looks like mine! Blue for the yarn.

Either color will be beautiful, but, conservative dresser that I guess I am, the cream will go with just about everything you own, so you can wear it more often! Happily, it's a win-win!

I still have basil plants in my window. I have given up on my discount store amaryllis blooming. It has 2 of the strappy leaves. My Christmas cactus has a flower and three buds!
Posted by: Paula on 02.06.2007 AT 05:55 PM
I've got to say blue yarn, and pink with touches of red for the amaryllis! Is that a basil plant in the background? Ohhh, how I'm missing fresh basil!!!!

I like the blue yarns for you.
You were out having a life when you should have been home with Donna, weren't you? For shame! :p I say she's going to grow up to be pink and white.

I went for Blue! It would be so beautiful with your eyes;-)

Okay, close the voting. I'm the only voter so I am 100% of the voting population. Bring on the cream!

Blue, most definitely, because I am making a Scoop Du Jour cardi out of a very similar blue from Bartletts.
