04.19.2007 :: Making a big deal out of one finished sock because I have nothing else. Nothing.

Sock

heel

Blurry pattern
Any questions?
Yarn: Artyarns supermerino
Pattern: garter rib from Sensational Knitted Socks
Status: endangered, at least the toe. The sock is about 1 inch too short for me so I must rip it. Rip it good.
I really have nothing. Just one partly done sock.
Sad, isn't it?

Ai ai ai! So sad about your sock. I love the color. The sock will rise again:)

...dunno if you remember but recently I have had a rash of holes showing up in this one pair of socks. Socks that I love. I could probably go so far as to say they're my favorite socks.
They're knit out of Artyarns Supermerino. You might want to reinforce your heels...and toes. Just sayin'
Yours are beautiful - and I hope you don't have the problems I have had with mine!!

Oh thank you, now I will have Devo swirling around in my brain all day. Regardless...I adore the colors. There is something about brown and pink that always reminds me of chocolate covered cherries.

At least it is a purty partially finished pink sock...

That yarn is really pretty, even if it IS pink. LX

At least the pictures are good!

To me, a finished sock is a huge deal. I am just past the gusset decreases on my second sock of a pair and I consider that the home stretch.
I love handknit socks, I have none for myself (until I finish this one) and I want to knit many more. And yet, it feels like it takes forever.
Sorry it's too short. I do that a lot, too.

Not at all! It's another inspiration to a new-ish knitter who hasn't knitted socks--yet! I was just looking at this very brand of yarn on eBay. The colors make a lovely pattern when knitted up.

Too bad it doesn't fit because it is one excellent sock.

The yarn is even prettier as a sock - who would have thunk it! Wow... now I know Artyarns is worth the price!

It may not be much, but at least it's pretty.

I love the socks you've blogged about recently! The lacy pairs were adorable. This sock reminds me of neopolitan ice cream!! Yummy!
