04.26.2007 :: This and That for a Thursday
The wonderful pink sock? Artyarns supermerino? The second skein is missing in action. It is here in this house, SOMEWHERE. It hides well. So, pink sock is stalled. Which is okay because there is always something going on, isn't there? I have never been a single project kind of gal and don't intend to start now!

Flyingdales (which, by the way, will be in Lisa Lloyd's book and not available for general sale once it sells out. If you have thought about knitting this pattern, pick it up now. RUSH! GO!) The yarn? Beaverslide. I feel like I should be cheering that word.
Okay, let's just do it and get it out of the way then.
Give me a B. Give me an E. Give me and aver. Give me an S. Give me a slide. BEAVERSLIDE, BEAVERSLIDE, YAHHHH!
~Insert cheerleading jump as necessary.
Okay, now, can you tell how much I love that yarn? Don't make me write a love haiku, cuz I'll do it.
Colorway Huckleberry Heather, in case you are wondering. Go ahead and do a cheer for it at your leisure. No one will hold it against you.
And soon I will be casting on for a pair of socks for my Hogwarts Sock Swap partner. Magic spells cannot make me tell who my secret person is. Don't be flinging your spells over here. They won't work. I put up a Protego Charm on you.
As a bit of an aside, I am now rereading Book 6. I stand here to proclaim now, Snape is innocent. You heard it here.
~~
Spring visited here for 2 days this week and I am grateful. No sooner had it arrived in the form of warm weather, flowers started blooming. There is nothing better than flowers blooming outside. Nothing. Here's some of my favorites from the photo shoot. (click any photo to go to the flicr page. Go ahead. Try it)

And my favorite:

For Cookie. This one's smiling for you. That little daffodil is loving that beam of sunshine.
As anyone would.
With sunscreen, of course.

Beaverslide! Beaverslide! Rah rah rah! I love that stuff too. Your Flyingdales is flying right along now, huh?... ;-)
Snape: I wouldn't say he's "innocent", but I DO think that he will redeem himself somehow in book 7. Possibly by sacrificing himself (taking an AK for Harry?) or at the very least, passing along some vital information.

Of course you could always "find" another hank of the pink sock yarn and if the other one turns up, then it's in reserve. :) And here's 3 cheers for Beaverslide, "Rah, Rah, RAH!"

LOVE the magnolia shots.
Is the Beaverslide worsted or fisherman's weight?

Yoohooooooo! What a cheerful post. Spring has sprung in Sandy-land. Here, too. Too bad I have so much work to do that I can't even enjoy it. What's that? Oh, the alarm. I have to get in the shower and on the road by 7:30, which isn't going to happen, I can tell you right now. I'll be a few minutes later than I'd like, but your post and writing this comment was worth it.

Oh, no, the pink sock yarn is missing?!? Hope you find that yummy stuff soon. Between you and Cara (she did Huckleberry, too, IIRC), I'm about ready to order a sweater's worth of Beaverslide. You guys are a tough sell. Like I need more yarn. Hehe.

Rah Rah Rah....OUCH! I came down wrong from my hurkey.

Dude, I don't think he's innocent. (Against Voldemort, but not innocent.) I think he did it, but to save Draco from heading down that wrong path any further, like he'd promised Draco's mum. And also, I think the guy who took the necklace is Sirius' (supposedly) dead brother.
