Ohhhhh, fallllllll. I have positively been D-R-I-N-K-I-N-G up this weather lately. First, the weekend, and then the last two days hanging out at home and the university campus. Today I wondered if perhaps I'd died and gone to Heaven.

My favorites?... How about unpacking the scarves and the fingerless mitts that I put away in April? I love putting them on again for my morning walk to the train.

Also: Hot apple cider, with or without a splash of something medicinal. ;-)

my favorite fall thing? HALLOWEEN! i love getting ready for it, i love figuring out costumes, and i love shopping for it!

no apples here :(. it got warm early this year, so the trees bloomed in early april, and then we had a late freeze.

Autumn is definitely my favorite season. The things I love best are the clear quality of the sunlight and the crisp smell in the air. Those pictures capture the change in season perfectly.

Oh, what beautiful pictures! It's cooler, but still hot here. My favorite fall thing is the turning leaves. Sometimes here, they just go brown, but if we are very lucky, we get a show of real fall colors. So far, it's only the dogwoods giving a hint of the season's change, but others will follow soon enough.

Love, love, love! We are taking the air conditioners out of the window this week and I can't wait. Fall is here! I think a visit to the Topsfield Fair is in our future!

ohhhhhh... The Mr. and I are going to the Annapolis Valley here in Nova Scotia on the weekend so that we can pick up some apples and just get out of the city for a day. mmmmm... Apples.

I'm with Jan B. -- but fall does have its good points. Besides apples and pumpkins and the picking thereof, and foliage, of course, I love the golden light and smelling grapes in the woods.
