11.02.2007 :: I can't help it. I've been hooking!
One of the things the I brought home from Rhinebeck that I was most excited about is a primitive Rug Hooking kit from Hooked on Ewe. (How can we not all love the name of that business, really?) Linda Harwood was a wonderful, patient teacher with an absolute beginner. I have to say...I'm HOOKED. I am!

I'm not done yet, but it's a respectable beginning. A mitten, how could I resist?? (that's a little christmas type tree in a pot in the middle in case you can't identify it) (My hands are cold this INSTANT as a matter of fact!)
Have I become a hooker? Time will tell on that one!
Look what came in the mail today! Mail for Santa~

A wonderfully horrible picture of a sweater kit in plastic! It is the Diamond Eyes kit from Philosopher's Wool.

Colorway Peacock.
It is so beautiful sitting there. But I will be handing it over to Santa when he comes home tonight. I did spend a lot on the kit and it will make the perfect gift! (OH! Just what I wanted! The right color too! ) Won't that make a perfect Christmas day project?
I dare say that the anticipation is wonderful!

RIDDLE TIME~~~
Q: If a knitter went to the NY Sheep and Wool, spending lots of money and splurging on a Philsophers Wool Sweater kit and lots lots more and arrived home to find a dead refrigerator after having tons of construction done on the home, what will HAPPEN NEXT?? (after buying the new frifferator, of course)
A: hmm. I'll give you the answer tomorrow.
TO be continued...

Gosh there are so many possibilities:
A. Fig will mope on the lovely new porch, paws covering his tear stained eyes because he knows you might be contemplating a destashing sale!
B. You hold a neighbourhood chilled beer sale at hyper-inflated prices to recouperate the cost of the refridgerator.
C. Fig will be rented out in a santa suit for those who require his gorgeous face on personalised Xmas cards.
D. Be ecstatically happy with all the blessings bestowed upon you.
Hope the answer is D.

The stove goes on the fritz.
Love that mitten. And I am so happy to see your PW kit -- you did good, and now Santa has it easy!

Awesome! You're hooking! I shall have to take you out to buy some of those hooker boots.

The washing machine dies.
Extra points if the laundry room door is too small to remove the machine without demolition.
I hope I'm wrong, though. I hope you won money!

You win the Readers Digest sweepstakes? Or another appliance (such as the washing machine, heaven forbid), packs it in and runs away to appliance heaven. My fingers are crossed that I'm very, very wrong!

Next thing I know you're going to get all territorial and kick me off your street corner.

I cannot believe you are a HOOKER!
The cat wins a fridge in an online contest and now you have two.

I think I saw you with those hookers. Careful there.... ;-)

Cute, Sandy! I have a Texas Flag that I started working on about 7 years ago... maybe it's time to take that back out...

Wait, didn't we already have this riddle?
She wins the lottery. Buys her friends and online acquaintances Philospher wool sweater kits, and herself a new fridge.
Hooking was my first wool passion. Watch out it is addictive.

You're trying hooking too? Cool! I bought a kit online, but haven't started yet... I need to find where I've hidden my stretcher frame. :(
