01.19.2008 :: 19. Winnie is a grasshead, you heard it here
I haven't looked yet, but I would confidently declare my uvula to be of normal size today. Not that I am completely healthy but this is a big first step.
The good thing is:
~It's Saturday
~We don't have the polar air yet (tomorrow)
~I ate homemade chicken soup for lunch and that is a WAY good thing
~I am knitting happily on flyingdales.
The not so good thing is:
~our water heater is broken and leaking, which makes any thoughts of scouring, disinfecting and cleaning a moot issue today. Which is back to the good things. Not that I WAS going to scour, disinfect or clean anything today but that is not the point now, is it.
~That while I'm knitting away on my flyingdales, my mind is ready to cheat. It's busy thinking about Margene's Chevron Neck Warmer. It creeps into my thoughts, I start planning. "Yes! I have a size 5US needle: OH! I could use the cream colored lamb's pride (because you know, it's been about a whole week without any lamb's pride knitting and frankly I miss it), I could so use a neck warmer, it's going to be cold you know. Who needs a cold neck? Cold necks make for swollen uvulas. It's a fact."
On and on my mind goes to talk me into it. Who is winning? We will see.

Winnie the duck is a grasshead.

Ugh, a leaky water heater is the pits.
And we had the arctic weather today - high of 16 degrees. It is actually 6 degrees now, and with windchill it feels like -8. BRRRRRR! I am wearing an alpaca sweater, hat, and scarf INSIDE.
Stay nice and warm tomorrow!

The neck warmer is only a short detour. You'll have it finished by Monday when you'll need to to go back to work!

I bought my first skein of Lamb's Pride ever this weekend. I am using it right now. Mittens. Again.
Sorry about your heater, but glad to hear you are feeling better.

It's always something, isn't it? Sorry about your water heater. Love Winnie's 'do.

Yes, she is!
I'm sorry about the water heater, honey. So much for starting your spring cleaning. ;^)
Ya know, I've yet to use Lamb's Pride. I'm so lacking as a knitter. /sigh

We must get some Lamb's Pride and some Silk Garden to Cookie, STAT!
So glad your uvula is normal-sized. It was too scary otherwise. :)
