01.24.2008 :: 24. One thing led to another...

I finally bought some yarn to finish the anemoi mittens, seen here in this vintage photo:
anemoi mittens
But I do not know where they are, so I went on a little hunt.
Along the way, I saw:
Mmmmmmm....
Fig eating tuna. He was glad I moved along in a quick manner.
chicken bowl
my chicken bowl! I wondered where this little guy went!
Christmas cards
Christmas cards! Which reminds me, I forgot to send out Christmas cards this year! I hate it when that happens!
Helgi's mitten
Helgi's mittens! In the wonderful Alpaca Exchange yarn! Poor things, sitting undone when I could be wearing them!

OH! The Nordic mittens from Winter 2004 Interweave knits. How I ADORE these mittens~ WHY '0 WHY do I keep putting them down? Can anyone answer that for me???
I did not find the anemoi mittens.
If you see them, will you send them home?
(this entry started to remind me* in a loose way of the children's book If You Give a Mouse a Cookie!)
~~~
*if in a "loose way" I really mean, NOTHING Like it.
I think this is a Sign than you should finish the Nordic mittens. :-) Maybe once those are finished, the gremlins will give back the missing Anemois?...
(you do know about the gremlins, right, that like to hide your important knitting stuff, like DPNs and stitch markers and embroidery scissors? Occasionally they get greedy and abscond with a whole project.)
Awwww the sweet little Figlet.
I figure if you're going to do 365, I need to comment more often.
Love that chicken bowl! This reminded me that I never sent out my Christmas cards either. I'm not even sure where I put them. Oh well, maybe next year. Well if you never find your Anemoi mittens, you've got other possibilities.
I'll keep an eye out for your mittens. If you see my DPN stitch keeper covers, would you send those home too? K, thx.
If You Give A Mouse A Cookie was my favorite book to read to the kids. LOVE IT! I see a resemblance between it and your search. One thing leads to another, right?
Three gorgeous wips. I do hope the anemoi ones surface!
Curse you and your darn chicken bowl! :) All of the sudden I'm not feeling so bad about the basket of forgotten wips I came across in a cleaning frenzy the other day.
You do have some beautiful mittens going on.
I dunno. This could be something like the missing strawberry pincushion of a few years ago. And you know how THAT turned out..... XOXOXOxO
I want to come over and walk through your house.
Ask Fig once he's done eating. Cats know stuff. Trust me. ♥
Good luck finding your mittens - if I see them I'll let you know. ;o) Oh and if you see the sleeves for my CPH laying around anywhere, send them on, k? I've lost them...again. :o(
