the poll didn't come up :(. i'm not into book clubs too much, though. i tend to read faster than everyone else, then sit there and twiddle my thumbs (admittedly, these were YA books, but i ran through 2 of them today. seriously. i've read 13 books for the month so far (i read 3 or 4 at a time, lol).

Daft? Not a bit. As I read your response to blogging in general, I thought of how just reading blogs for c. 2 years has affected me. I'm way less experienced than most of you knitters but delighted to learn so very much as I get back into it. And I've laughed and cried in equal measure -- the sign of a good sitcom, so surely of good blogs. I'm truly blown away by both the intelligence and generosity of the knitting community, and the few bloggers I've met in person have only confirmed this. I think we also owe tremendous thanks to Casey and Jess of Ravelry, real geniuses who have brought the community even closer through allowing us to share and learn from one another. Bloggers rock!
