Amaryllis are pink
and
sweaters are blue
tomorrow's a blog day off
can I stand it?

Pink:
Susan the amaryllis is such a trooper. Despite an extreme case of bulb rot including a small force of fruit flies (which are really like the buzzards of the plant world, right?) she is putting forth such a magnificent display of beauty. Bravo, Susan!
Blue:
Flyingdales the cardigan grows and grows and never gets finished. It's the perpetual sweater! (Fun, though!)
Blog day off:
The extra day. What to do. Blog? Not blog? "they" want us to take a day off. "WE" say HELL NO, WE WON'T GO! Or something. I'm sure there's a chant in there somewhere.
Will I be back tomorrow? Won't I? Tune in tomorrow, same bat time, same bat channel!
(That was always my favorite show as a kid. I was such a 70's kid, tomboy at that!)

Here's what I'm going to teach you today: I'm pretty sure those are not fruitflies, but fungus gnats. I learned this the hard way. They are eating the rotting flesh, and probably the roots, of poor Susan.
