03.09.2008 :: 68. Koolhaas hat

Koolhaas hat finished
Pattern: Koolhaas hat, in the Interweave knits Holiday 2007 also available for purchase at the website: http://shop.interweave.com/Koolhaas-Hat-P211C53.aspx
Yarn: Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran (which is my desert island yarn: the one yarn to have if I were marooned on a desert island)
Needle size: US7
Made for: a coworker who is suffering through chemo treatments
My thoughts: I love this hat~ LOVE! I don't knit many hats due to my personal dislike of wearing them. This pattern is a fun knit, not hard at all, which I feared when I started it. The cable pattern is easily remembered! This makes me respect a well written pattern!
beautiful stitch pattern

It fits Mr. Bear, I hope it fits my co-worker

That looks great! I have the IK Holiday with this pattern in it, I might have to give it a shot. I don't wear hats either, but I've been wanting to try one.

Hmmm... what color should make? Off to the yarn store!!

It is simply lovely. Have worked with that yarn before and agree with you (although my frame of reference was to knit a bathrobe from it!)

Cookie can knit me a hat - I'm too busy learning to knit lace!

It's lovely, Sandy, and I know your friend will feel comforted each time she wears it.

This hat is popping up everywhere. I am going to have to make a couple and tuck them away for next year.

Great color, I'm sure your friend will be very happy to receive it.

WOW, San. It's gorgeous--what a beautiful gift. I'm so sorry to hear about your co-worker. This lovely hat will warm both her head and her heart, my friend. Love you. xoxo

Lovely gift. She'll really appreciate the time and love put into it.

Nicely done! I don't think it's that simple a pattern, but that might be because I started it with yarn that was too bulky and couldn't get gauge. I need to try again.

It's beautiful...just fabulously beautiful and a lovely gift, too.

That is a beautiful hat and I'm sure it will be used and loved, especially because you took the time.

Fabulous!

At least, you have people to knit hats for. What's his name put his foot down. No more hat knitting for me.
