Flyindales cardigan
Flyingdales cardigan looking like a vest! I couldn't wait to try it on when I got the shoulder's seamed up with their 3 needle bind offs. And I was a bit disappointed (sound familiar Ruth?) Although I haven't really read ahead in the pattern, I'll be all set if the button bands are about a foot wide. A knitter can hope, right?
Besides the discouraging fit, there's a bit of a shoulder problem that needs to be fixed. It's an easy fix though.
This is the Right shoulder, knit as it should be:
right shoulder
Left shoulder:
left shoulder
I stopped too soon on the welt pattern. So, tonight I'll take out the 3 needle bind off and fix it.
But the wind is sucked out of my flyingdale sails. Pfft.

Believe me, the irony is not lost on me that my post yesterday about eating real food to be more healthy is preceded by a post about cheesecake. But really, homemade cheesecake is REAL food. I know what ingredients are in there. Making it better for me (in extreme moderation) than store bought. And much more satisfying too.
Gotta stay away from cheesecake if I have any dream of wearing the flipping flyingdales though.

I always thought Flyingdales would look nice as a vest--now I know it does. Love the cables and color.

If I ever make a Flyingdales I will make it really, really big. I love cheesecake.

Eeps, look at all that seed stitch!

Cheesecake, homemade, in moderation is perfectly acceptable!

I think your Flyingdales looks lovely so far! But between yours and Ruth's, I'm starting to wonder about this pattern...

Pretty color. Nice cables! Hey, don't you want to knit a shawl??

That sweater is cursed.

If the back fits, you could add a panel to each side of the front. If the sides are seamed, you could unseam it and insert the panel there, which would have two advantages: the middle would look like the pattern and the insert would be shorter. You'd have to adjust the sleevetops a little. O.K., a lot.

I love the color and it would be pretty with my eyes...blink, blink.
Homemade is better for you...just don't enjoy too much.

Looks like Norma is getting a new sweater.

Yay for homemade REAL food.

I'm sort of small, and I need a Flyingdales. Just a thought.

After you fixed your sweater, wanna finish mine for me? Yeah, I didn't think so.

Homemade is almost always better for you. ♥
