Forest Canopy Shawl is done
Forest Canopy Shawl, finished (still not blocked yet) with a cherry (tomato) on top.
I love the look of it. It did not make me into a converted lace knitter. I just don't have it. It takes all kinds of us to populate the knitting universe and I'll take colorwork anyday. Garter stitch? Bring it on! Stockinette? YEAH BABY! Lace? Love it. But not for me.
I'm over it, though. Somebody had better break it to my long languishing Creatures of the Reef shawl, poor little thing.
In the "It's raining, it's pouring, the old man is snoring" category, it has been raining buckets all day long and more to come. I love it. I suppose it's weird that I don't like too many SAME days in a row. I like it to mix up the weather, keep it real. I was so ready for a cloudy, rainy, cozy day. Of course, it would have been a tad more enjoyable to be home cuddled up on the couch instead of at the place of employment cozying up to the work.
Tonight? I'll enjoy every chilly, driving raindrop.

It's okay not to be a lace knitter. Really and truly. So relax and knit some mittens, hmm? ;-)

That photo makes me giggle. And it makes me hungry. Fabbo. Yeah, we are still two peas in a pod.

Whoohooooo! Good job, Sandy - and you topped it off with a great photo. The only thing you needed to add is a fork sticking into the side of it!

It's lovely.

Today was a good day to call in sick and stay home, reading in bed.

Even though it's not blocked, I love the picture of the shawl. Can't wait to see it blocked out.

Congrats on finishing!
