04.29.2008 :: 119. Time for a soak and a pin up job

Forest canopy shawl in a bubble bath.
Trying to make it sweet smelling, I used:

Sweet is not the word I would use to describe the scent of this wool while wet. P. U.
Then I set the washer to Spin in the handwash cycle to take some of the water out. I learned that lesson on my first Rhinebeck trip as some might remember with the perpetually wet sweater.

I found 25 cents in the washer. Mine now.
The shawl got some acupuncture:

Lounging on a dark blue towel becomes our little Forest Canopy, doesn't it?

The smell in the room? Pure Grace? no, no, nothing that wonderful (and it IS wonderful) it was more like

They may be cute, but P.U.

This is totally off subject but when I saw the title of "Time for a soak and a pin up job" I envisioned a lady soaking in a bubblebath with her hair in bobby pins. Now does that date me or what?!? Beautiful shawl, btw.

You must truly be immune to the lace virus if you didn't want to cast on lots more lace projects as soon as you saw that beauty all pinned out. ;-)

You've slept with The Norma.
Wow.
I need modeled shots of the shawl please. ♥

They may be smelly (and stupid, don't I know it?) but they make great shawls (with a lot of help!)
Beautifully done, for someone who swears off lace!

Wunderbar! I remember the perpetually wet sweater. I was THERE! I rolled that sweater OUT. I might have even KNIT that sweater. If I didn't, I know the person who DID! Wait. I think I'm confused. No, but I really WAS there! I knew you when. And we shared a bed that weekend, as I recall. LOL. True story.

It looks great to me. Are we going to see modeled shots?
