dragon scales scarf
The dragon scales scarf grows. Despite being thought of as LACE, I am enjoying the knitting very much. It is an easy pattern: Sandy-fied.
The process of finding a new interest is one that has always fascinated me. I wonder why all of a sudden an idea is in your head. Well, nowadays it's easy to know. You read blogs and you click here and read there and soon as you know it you are seeing something new and fascinating. But why does it grab hold in your brain? Why now?
For instance:
Tea towel embroidery
Embroidery. I don't know how it happened but all of a sudden, I'm embroidering a gnome on a tea towel. It's a mystery, but it is what it is. A gnome on a tea towel.
new interest
Gnome 'shrooms.

Love the gnome- so cute and charming. I love the idea of embroidery. Now I just need to find the time!

Sending healthy vibes to Fig. Mine hate the vet too. I don't think ANY of them enjoy it. Great embroidery! I really can't wait to see the finished piece!

How is Fig doing? Did he forgive you for yesterday's outing yet?

Lace. Embroidery. What's next and who are you?!

Is Fig still traumatized? Poor boy?
Now I want to look for tea towels and buy embroidery thread. I had every color under the sun and gave it all away.

Yep, me too - I did traditional embroidery as a kid, with those dresser scarf kits? Then I moved on to counted cross stitch and actually made some pretty cute stuff back when. I don't have the itch for that any more, although I still have tons of floss and canvas. I do love papercrafts, and if I could draw worth a carp I'd love to do pastels. But now I have the knitting...

Smooches for Fig.

I hate the vets too, Fig!

Re: the embroidery... how do you think I started knitting? I was just a cross stitcher. I do believe you were one of the first knit blogs I found. I believe through the Random Acts of Kindness Webring.

How did he do? Poor little guy. I'm always amazed at how photogenic he is. Poor Vincent just hated the camera and it showed!

A gnome on a tea towel.... I love it!
