I ate my first blueberry off our bushes! There were exactly TWO ripe ones this morning, and I.....you're not gonna believe it....SHARED with David.

We were so excited we talked about getting more bushes. So then I had to make a trip to get some good meat, and stopped in at Gardener's Supply. Wouldn't you know, fruits were on sale -- 20% off. So I took it as a sign and bought two more blueberry bushes. We planted one already. Go us.

Oh, and I picked BEETS! And PEAS!

All in all, a very productive day!

So did you honey/tone down the blonde? I keep reminding myself of that day when I was about 14 and thought I'd love to be wrinkly and old like grammy (who was at the time 76). I highlight my hair...off and on and irregularly. My hair has gotten darker as I age (starting with 'dark ash blonde' = mousy and continuing to darker ash = mousier, never getting to a nice brown), and the summer sun highlights don't happen unless I make them. And those gray sproingy hairs? They appear out of noplace. I learned at the fiber frolic that they are called metulated fibers and don't have scales. I think of them as gray pubic hair, on my head. How gross is that? The highlights kind of hide them.

Cleaning house. Which I never get to during the week and didn't used to much bother with on weekends either, but I'm making a push, and after a couple of months can see progress (and floorspace!). But my goodness it's hot!

My big event for the weekend was taking my daughter to White Flower Farm where we bought beef kabobs for dinner tonight. Also some plants for her garden. I am very amused that I can go to a flower farm and buy great natural beef.

The rest of the weekend will be spent playing with puppies and making sure bunnies are ok in the HHH. I know. I live an exciting life! LOL

Going to see Judy Collins tonight!

I'm signing the ourchase agreement for my first house ever!! And then going grocery shopping, and then to a MN Twins game tonight. Tomorrow I work. I'm the queen of the one-day weekend!

Dale has to go to CT today with his band to play a wedding. I'm taking Hannah shopping (UGH!) and then going out to dinner with the girls from work. Tomorrow we are driving Hannah to the Cape. She will be camping with her friend's family for a week and then spending a week at her grandmother's cottage.

We have an exciting itinerary planned. Cleaning, knitting, perhaps a bike ride, and a long run on Sunday. And reading.

Yep, I know how to have a good time!

I'm going to buy a bike tomorrow. :D What are you doing?

I'm taking it easy this weekend. Maybe a movie (Wall-E) with a friend, but definitely just lazing.
