08.25.2008 :: 236. Rumor has it that it's someone's birthday
Today I am 47 years old.
Honestly, with the exception of an abundance of money, I live a charmed life.
I'm happy, healthy, have a wonderful family! What more could an old geyser like me want?
It's my birthday and I can give gifts if I want to.
Leave me a comment (I'd be lying if I said that I don't love a bit of attention now and again) and I'll choose a random name for one of 2 birthday gifts.
1. A Philosophy 3 pc. trial skin care set (listen girls, we are not getting any younger but our faces don't have to show it!)
(I cannot post the picture for some reason so see the set HERE (added: I cannot get that link to work either. This little Philosophy set is being shy. Well, the set has a Purity Made Simple, a Hope in a Jar and a Hope in a Tube, all you need for great skin care!)
2. and a yarn gift to be determined by your special yarn need.

I was listening to some awful thing on the radio and thinking again at what riches we have compared to much of the world, and if we have health and family and love, well, that's really the best, yes? Hey! You and I share a birthday! I spent mine wandering around the State Fair and then broke my yarn diet. I bought both sock and lace weight yarn; after all a girl has a birthday just once a year.
And I'm an even older geyser so I can tell you that 47 doesn't count. You have to qualify for AARP before you're a geyser.

Happiest of Birthdays! It's a very fortuitous day for a birthday--and I say that because you and my son, Luke (who just turned 7!) share the same celebration day. He says Happy Birthday to you, too, and also that you can come over to our house to play Wii if you didn't get one for your birthday, because he had the best! birthday! ever! because he got a Wii. Happy Birthday, Sandy..... you are still so young, but already very wise. Just reading your blog has made me feel like I know you, and that if you lived near me, we'd be buddies....... I'm so glad I've reached the age where age itself doesn't matter much anymore. Back in the old days, I would never have associated with a young 'un like you...(Yesterday we celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary, and yes, I was a VERY mature 21 year old in 1968!)
