09.25.2008 :: 267. Drag queen
Today felt like a bit of a drag.
Drag myself out of bed.
Late for work.
Work like a hound dog
drink too much caffeine because of the drag
drag myself home
take a bit of a snooze
laundry, dinner, dishes
it's all a drag today.
Gray's Anatomy is on right now. I'm going to go watch!
Hope it's not a drag too!
What did you do today? Tell me about your wonderous day! (Don't drag me down...:)

Yesterday I day-dreamed about taking a trip to a lush, tropical island. I'd recommend that!

My day was a horrid drag, too. I was sick, exhausted, and wanted to cry, mostly. Today is much better, though!! And it's Friday! Yay! Hope you're having a better day, too.

I dedicated yesterday to moving my horse from a hell whole to what I hope will be a perfect place. Learned a new trick in dealing with a bratty horse. Apparently shook up my root beer when I put it away after the first couple sips because when I opened it again just as we were leaving the old barn, it sprayed and the choice was let it get the carpet in the car or let it get my lap, so I spent the next few hours settling my horse in her new digs with me wearing sopping wet jeans and underpants, as well as having sticky fingers. And as if that wasn't enough, as I was leading the horse into the new barn, we rounded a corner, she jumped and her front foot landed on my sneaker heel, pinning me in place because she planted all 4 feet at that moment and wouldn't move. Only one option with that maneuver because it's not good to be pinned in place with a spooked horse. I pulled my foot out of the sneaker and hobbled to her stall with one sneakered foot and one socked foot. How to impress the new barn owner. And I hope that all makes you laugh, cause it did me.

Last night was knit night, but it was a drag. I like Stitch'n Bitch better. :-(

I was lucky enough to get some sewing time in and I made a delicious apple pie for dessert. Today (Fri) will be a drag for me with this rainy weather.

I'm not sure I can remember yesterday. Oh I did go out for dinner and had a totally delicious and comforting chicken pot pie. With a martini.

Maybe I was too tired, but I'm not sure if I liked G.A. last night or not. Here's a funny side effect of sitting in on med school: (this is happening to me on House, too) I'm checking the facts, and it's a distraction. hahahahaahahah.
Anyhoo, seems like they were trying too hard to pull all the tricks out of the bag last night, what with the dream sequences and the big celebrities, etc. Maybe it's just me. I should watch it again just to be sure. ;-)
Cripes, look at that time! I gotta get going!!!!

It WAS a drag, huh? I was in so many meetings that I didn't get any work done. SUCH a drag.
Made an appointment with the kitty doctor to have the little boy neutered next week. My little one is an adult, they grow up so fast.
I wrote the last post on Cabin Cove today. That wasn't a drag.
And, honey, you're more woman than any drag queen I've ever met!

My girlie turned 11 today! Quiet birthday at her request--she brought home a new, wonderful redheaded girl chum from school and they did homework, watched "A Hard Day's Night", ate my special chicken burritos and had brownies with ice cream. She was delighted with her day.
I got a gift, too (aside from her). My favorite bus driver reappeared and is driving my morning route! Also I finished a work-related class at work and stood up with my classmates in a short presentation to our collected bosses. *whew!* All week I've felt my atrophied student-brain trying to awaken...glad that's done.
Hope Friday's better, and that the Saturday sky smiles on you.

I was mean to someone we hate who totally deserves to be kicked to death by a flock of llamas. I bought some malabrigo lace weight in a gorgeous perfect for me colorway with store credit. I haven't killed anyone this week and as it's already Thursday night, I am calling that a win.

I'll try not to drag you down... I finished knitting a silk lace scarf for a Christmas gift, started the sleeve for my WIP Kauni sweater, made a big production of making some simple, but delicious, mac 'n cheese. (All big productions come with a glass of wine...) I wish an equally lovely day for you!
