I'm off on a quest to the hospital right now. The doctor's news tonight was not great and it seems my Father in Law may not have much longer.
Please keep him in your good thoughts.
ETA:
We are home now. Tonight was not my FIL's time. Although the night is not over, the crisis has been averted. He is fragile and his lungs are giving up. If we had a crystal ball we'd know if he had a couple of hours left or a couple of days. The heart wrenching thing is that he now knows that this is his last fight. That it won't be long. That was the hardest part of the evening. That and watching him fight for every breath.
Thank your lungs tonight.

Oh Sandy, I hope you make it through this tough time with the love and support of your family and friends. When Roger's dad past away a year this past June it was so surreal and so sad... that coupled with a few other stressful things... and I stopped blogging. I miss it... and miss you... It's a blessing and a curse that you're able to be with him through this but definitely all blessing on his part. It's hard to watch him go through it all but I don't think you'll ever regret it.
