10.25.2008 :: 67. Here, m I sitting in a tin can
We had a wonderful day at a 25th wedding anniversary for my oldest and dearest friend and her husband (he being my second oldest and dearest friend by association). I have known her since we were 15 years old. I was the maid of honor at her wedding and she at mine.
We marveled at how a 25th wedding anniversary seems like it's only for older people not us. And how it's amazing that all the kids are getting older and yet we are not. Funny how that happens.
And?
I have had this song in my brain all week long. Endlessly since Andy and Bethany had a bit of a singalong earlier this week after seeing a commercial with a bit of the music in it.
I can't get it out of my brain!
It's stuck. Interwoven in the fibers.
So, I share it with you. I'm not listening, just in case it is making it's exit. I keep humming Christmas songs in hope that it will be purged.
Please. Don't sing it aloud. You'll make me have it for another week!

I'm looking at that video and all I can think is:
Remember when people used to be thin like that?

Dear God. Now I feel old. I can't believe how young David Bowie is in that. I'm going to get my cane this week.

Head over to Terry's blog. The song she has for YouTube Saturday will knock that one out of your head.

Argh!!!!
Now that song is stuck in the last available brain cells I had left...
Though it may be better than the last song I had stuck - especially since I didn't actually remember the WORDS to it. So it was just "Never be your beast of burden. Never be your beast of burden. Ummmm... Never be your beast of burden." until my brains were leaking out my ears.
Jingle bells! Jingle bells! Jingle all the waaaaaay!
